zope without apache

Just installed zope 2.16 and squishdot from debian packages on an up to date potato box, and I would like it to serve on port 80. I don't have apache installed and have no need for it. What is the simplest way of accomplishing this? Thanks, -Herb herbert(a)ns.sympatico.ca

If I understand the question, you could add a ZSql Method like 'select * from view_name' then add a Z Search Interface and bind it to the newly created sql method and that should give you an idea of how sql and zope work. ReplaceSupport mangles ZSQL methods....but...

Hi all, The *otherwise excellent* ReplaceSupport mangles ZSQLmethods in that the body of the method (the SQL) and the arguments gets mixed over. It's a dead easy fix though, check out the Zope API and you'll see that manage_edit for ZSQLmethods is defined as manage_edit(title, connection_id, arguments, template): Whereas in the Handlers directory of ReplaceSupport, the file ZSQLMethod.py is; def manageEdit( self, ob, body, params='' ): ob.manage_edit( ob.title, ob.connection_id, body, params ) Change it so's its; def manageEdit( self, ob, body, params='' ): ob.manage_edit( ob.title, ob.connection_id, params, body ) And bobs your uncle... Hi you all, I have installed DCOracle2 in my Zope Server (Linux), and it works fine. I create a DCOracle2 Database connection and everything is OK. ZEO and LocalFS

If we have ZEO (and other ZEO Zope clients) on a different box from our primary clients, how does that affect LocalFS? How does the path figure into that? Will FNS need to be setup and all the paths for each client point back to one central file system storage location? Just curious before we start spreading things out. Thanks Allen
