I'm running Zope 2.5.1 under Debian Woody and the latest version of TransparentFolders that I could find on zope.org (0.3.2). I just created a simple test case: /test/ << folder tf/ << transparent folder hidden << dtml method index_html << dtml document index_html contains only "<dtml-var hidden>" Using Zope 2.4.2 under Debian Woody, I see the text contained in hidden when I view index_html. Under Zope 2.5.1, I get the error... Error Type: KeyError Error Value: hidden ...with the following traceback... You may be able to save off your data.fs, reinstall zope, the attach your old data.fs as mountable storage? I have never used mountable storage, so I have no idea if this would work or not. So if in todays view I have no programming skills, should I begin to learn Python? It is good starting point? importing/exporting

I'm new to Zope, and decided to play around with it at home for a few hours. I built up a small site, and decided to export it out, and mail it to myself in work, where I uploaded it to a Zope server there. When exporting, I clicked on 'import/export' in the root folder, I didn't give an export object id (assuming it would just choose /) and clicked 'Export'. I got a 2MB file (big, considering I'd typed in maybe 5k of HTML and 100k of images). I imported that into the Zope server in work. It seemed to be OK, only that it created a folder called 'Zope' and stuck it in there. I decided to try move the folders & DTML documents from /Zope to /, with cut & paste, but I kept getting errors like: " One or more items referred to in the clipboard data was not found. The item may have been moved or deleted after you copied it. " Also, I noticed that I had been using a gadfly database - the import did not create a /var/zope/var/gadfly directory at all, so any time I tryed to access those methods, it was throwing me errors ! Have I done something incorrectly ? Or does the import/export functionality not work in 2.5.x ? Embedding absolute_url in TAL Syntax

OK, now that I have my table of objects produced by a Python script working in ZPT, I need to figure out how to connect an entry in the table to its URL. What is the TAL equivalent of: <td><a href="<dtml-var absolute_url>"><dtml-var title></a></td> It *seemed* like I should be able to code: <td><a href="tal:content='item/absolute_url'"><tal:content="item/title"></a></td> But that creates a compilation error in the TAL HTML Parser. Maybe it's a quoting thing (which I had sort of hoped would be cleaner in ZPT than it is with DTML stuff) but I can't find anything in the docs about using absolute_url in TAL, so I'm kinda stuck.

can not start zope with STUPID_LOG_FILE variable set

Data.fs corruption

Well it had to happen. Zope running with data and Im parusing the file structure. Not too smart. Restarting zope and of couse it tells me the data.fs is corrupt. Was wondering if there is any way to restore it as there is some rather important data there. Panic has not set in yet but by tomorrow....:( Any suggestions would be really helpfull at this point and very much appreciated. Chris H. Hi all, I've got some problems with my News product. For the rendering of it, I let the site owner choose between DTML Methods and Zope Page Templates. In the Add Form he can check a checkbox 'Add DTML Methods' or a checkbox 'Add Page Templates' (or both).
