Hi- Having some issues getting ZUBB working. Using Proxy Pass

Hi all: When recently swicthed to using proxypass with apache to run zope. However I've noticed I problem for us to keep SSL we have to run the whole site with SSL. Can this be solved to not run the whole site with SSL and just what should be? Thanks, Todd

Loop over the different levels of PARENTS

Hi all, I want to loop over the different levels of PARENTS to get the id of the ZCatalog. The id of the ZCatalog can be dynamic this way. I've written some code to do this: def getCatalogid(self): """gets the id of the ZCatalog used for the News searchin""" level = len(self.REQUEST['PARENTS']) for item in self.REQUEST['PARENTS'][level].objectValues('ZCatalog'): catalogid = item.id level = level-1 return catalogid But I get the following error: File /var/lib/zope/Products/News/News.py, line 876, in getCatalogid (Object: newstest) IndexError: list index out of range Line 876 is the line with the 'for item in ....' expression. render dtml from within return value

Hi, I'm a DTML-newbie and have the following problem: I have a DTML-method where I insert a call to a Python script which returns a string that contains DTML code. How can I make Zope render the DTML instead of just "inserting" it in the page when viewing it? the DTML-method: ... <dtml-var "get_body(fileid='file_htm')"> ... get_body is a Python scripts that takes the document_src from file_htm, cleans it up and returns the string (which contains some dtml codes). Or is this the wrong way to do a text-manipulation on a dtml-document before inserting it in another dtml-document/method? ZSQL Method question

Is it possible to run a SELECT query (just one - as per doc) in a ZSQL Method and then use the results of that to run a INSERT query in the "same" ZSQL method... If yes how do I access the result of the select?? I am just trying to get around the lack of sub-queries in MySQL. and dont really want to set up a ZSQL method for each query/insert and then use another method to bring them all together. However if there is another way to do the whole thing.......I would be immensely grateful for any pointers in that direction. hi dean if you can't solve your SSL-redirection problem you can try it with mod_proxy. proxy roles are quite easy. some people say it is also quicker than rewrite rules. therefore if you want to go that way i can send you my httpd.conf containing the standard proxy-SSL config. oliver erlewein

Redirection with mod_ssl

Hi can somebody point me to a good resource or give me some examples of how I do redirection with zope and mod_ssl. I have currently got apache in front of zope with redirection, but now I have built apache+mod_ssl as another install (port 81 and 443) for testing purposes. I have virtual named servers, which I've found out you can't use with https. What I need to do is if a user request the file http://host.somewhere com/payments/index_html then apache redirects them to https://securehost somewhereelse.com/payments/index_html but still remain in zope. >i'm experiencing a problem with preconditions. í use the precondition of files to track the downloading of these. if >i upload ppt's or doc's there aren't any problems. when i download i get one line in my logfile. if i download a pdf >then the log shows 2 entries. to judge from the time the first is when the download starts an the secon when it >ends. >anybod got an idea on why this is happening? Just for what it's worth: you can have even more than 2 lines in your log when someone is downloading a pdf file. If the document is not 'saved as', but viewed per page you can have even 7 or 10 lines in your log, one line for every page the user views. It is nog Zope specific.
