Hi list, I am new to Zope and I am stuck with this problem: I have created folders and subfolders and I now need to retrieve the content of these subfolders and display it in the home page. Let's say I have 4 different folders, each one has 3 subfolders and each subfolder has a list of articles or news_items. How can I import the content of the last article published in a specified subfolders, in the homepage? or the last news_item published in a specified subfolder into the index_html of the homepage? thanks for helping Luca

Hi all - I have a file that needs to be customized on download and I would like to know how to do this in a Python script. My first attempt: return container.downloadFile() complained about the call. Removing the () seems to work better, but it is still far from clear to me how I - Obtain the content of a specific id in a given container; - Modify that content; - Return that content; Any clues gratefully accepted. Calling object from ZPT

Hi all, For my Newsproduct I want to call a navigation menu. For my websites I allways use NFGNav, so I want to call NFGNav from my Zope Page Template. This is the layout of the site: 0 1 2 Root - nfgnav News - ZPT News News So my ZPT is used for the rendering of the parents News object (level 1) and the child news objects (level 2). I used to call nfgnav from dtml like this: <dtml-var "nfgnav.TreeMenu(PARENTS,REQUEST,initlevel=2,Meta_Types='News',sort='navsort')"> So I want to call nfgnav a level higher then the ZPT. Can somebody help me with this problem? Greetz Nico

How do reset a dtml-var

Hi, I am trying to check to see if the dtml-var revision is set to a null and if it is I want to set it to "%" as a sql wildcard. This is my test. <dtml-if expr="revision==''"> <dtml-var revision>test if1 <dtml-let revision="'%'"> <dtml-var revision>test if2 </dtml-let> <dtml-var revision>test if3 </dtml-if> Here are my results. test if1 %test if2 test if3 How come the variable is not set after I leave dtml-let statement? I am not sure what you mean by trying EventFolder. I have a folder called "events". Including tags verbatim in an DTML document?

Hello, I would like to include XML tags within a DTML document for documentation purposes which should be displayed verbatim, i.e. not evaluated by DTML (currently I only get blank spaces where the tags should be). Is there a special dtml tag that "disables" the use of <blabla> for tag elements? When you create a Python product you need to subclass some classes (this approach is called mixins) that gives you the behaviour you want. All I have done is to pre-assemble the most commonly used classes in a single class. So EasyProduct only does what you would have to do yourself. There is nothing hard or magical about it, and it doesn't use anything esoteric to get stuff done. It's just more convenient. So a product that subclasses easyProduct is as plain a product as any you would write yourself. It's just makes it easier to get started. Probably when you have finished, your product you have overwritten the default methods provided by easyProduct and you could just have written the product from scratch.
