dates in dtml

Hi I'm trying to convert a date that's extracted from a database into a date accepted by zope. Then I'm setting this in a variable using REQUEST.set so I can compare it to other dates. I always get errors with this and it's not clear how I should be doing it. I resorted to using dtml-let in order to split things up a bit, and avoid <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('first_date', oldest(item=_.DateTime(_.getitem('START_TIME')).aCommon(), old=_.getitem('START_TIME'))"> Which is really long and hard to understand. Is there any documentation where anyone explains how to use _. functions within dtml, or how zope can compare dates? zmysqlda error on install -

I have just installed zope-zmysqlda-2.0.8 with mysql version mysql-client-3.23.51 mysql seems to work fine. Is it possible to have a python script that does this: response = context.REQUEST.RESPONSE if someCondition: response.expiresCookie('mySitesCookie', path='/') return response.redirect('aPageTemplate') The cookie is not getting removed when someCondition is true. Mark

If I install Zope 2.5.1 in Linux, will it automatically install the correct python-interpreter that support large file ?? Anyway, can I say that there is no way to solve this 2GB problem in Windows. conversion in dtml-methods

We have a formular with a checkbox... The result of the checkbox is a list of strings. In the following dtml-method (action) the method reads any string of the list and has to initiate read instructions to a mysql database table with this values but converted to integer... zope error...value error invalid literal for int(): 17 ...17 was the string which has to be converted ??? where is a good dtml documentation ...we have 2 books for zope, but the dtml parts are not good... Hello, I've some scripts to automatically generate a navigation list, that used to work with Zope 2.1.6. eg: <dtml-in "objectItems(['Folder'])"> <dtml-var title_or_id> </dtml-in> In Zope 2.5, this gives an error for non-authenticated users like "you are not authorized to view the property title". Cut and Paste Programmatically

Does anyone know how to cut and paste programmatically by passing in the variable names? What I'd like to do is setup a form that would allow a user to enter a file_name, select a folder from a list and then run a dtml-method on this input. The method would involve calling either a python script or external method that would take in the users input and cut and paste the object into the correct folder. Any idea on how I could go about doing this? I have seen a lot of code that involves hard-coding in the folders, but is there anyway around this? Any help would be appreacited. Thanks, john
