How can I prent Powerpoint with Zope?

I would like to present PowerPoint on a web site. The Server is a Linux box. I have heard that there are tools to do this. Can somebody please give me an idea where to look for them? thanks Robert

Problems with IE

Hi all The site I created using ZPT+python+SQL has problems while accessing from IE. The same thing has no problems with Netscape/Mozilla. The main page comes up, the login has not issues. As usual, I figured that out just after posting. There's one other thing to remember, when you change the name of the connection you *must* touch (that is, re-edit) all of the SQL methods that reference it, otherwise they don't bind properly to the connection.

Selection property

I am a newbie trying to set up a selection property with a python script. I call folder_obj.manage_addProperty ( 'prop_name', 'VALUE', 'selection', **but how do i add the list** ) and also try folder_obj.manage_addProperty ( 'prop_name', list_here, 'selection', 'select_variable=one_of_the_list' ) I have a list in my python script. Should i reference the list from a zope path. Drew

multiple MySQLDB connections.

Argh... I have a database access problem. I have two database serviced by the same MySQL server. MySQL database adaptors are bound to a particular database with their connection string and appear to have a fixed name which is found by acquisition (or so it appears). If I want to access two databases, it looks like I want to have two MySQL database adaptors. The topology of my site is such that both adaptors really need to be in the same folder. But that causes a name conflict because of the naming conventions. What to do?

hi, a page is called via links like 1.) myPage.html?sortkey=Date 2.) myPage.html?sortkey=Name the value of sortkey is display properly with <dtml-var sortkey> i like to use the value of sortkey within the <dtml-in> -tag, like <dtml-in expr="objectItems(['DTML Document'])" sort=_['sortkey']> but that is not working... the tags <dtml-in expr="objectItems(['DTML Document'])" sort=Date> <dtml-in expr="objectItems(['DTML Document'])" sort=Name> are doing fine, but that's not a solution for my prop. please help thanks in advance cheers, Markus

Changing DA

Suppose, I have many ZSQL methods using the foo DA, and want to switch, or at least test the bar DA. How do I programatically make the switch? I could swear that this has come up before, but I cannot find it. On a related question -- how does one determine the set of available connection ids? Thanks Jim Penny

Hi, A general zope question: Whats the best way to refer to images and other links within a zope site? I am now using apache proxy in front of ZServer. Basically im trying to avoid Links like "/intranet/faculty/faculty/faculty" Thanks in advance, Kevin

ZClasses PropertySheets

Hello, I am having the following problem about property sheet. I created a propertysheet, added a "Property Sheet Interface" with type "Edit" and mapped views for this propertysheet. When I use this product and try to change this propertysheet and the message "Your change have been saved" appear. After it, zope gives me other page to manage this propertysheet. How can I solve this problem? How can I fix zope to give me the same place and put the message "Saved changes" on top? Perhaps, a python script will solve it, won't it? I've seen the zope code and I think the problem is on manage_editProperties function at OFS.ProertySheets.py This function make call to MessageDialog with action equal 'manage'. def manage_editProperties(self, REQUEST): """Edit object properties via the web.""" for prop in self._propertyMap(): name=prop['id'] if 'w' in prop.get('mode', 'wd'): value=REQUEST.get(name, '') self._updateProperty(name, value) return MessageDialog( title ='Success!', message='Your changes have been saved', action ='manage') But the manage page for this propertysheet is manage_statusForm. The action attribute at form tag in this page is propertysheets/status/manage_editProperties. My problem was that I was using Mozilla. It works with Internet Explorer. Anand _______________________________________________________________________ I too am experiencing the same roadblock. The product is quite simple - I have one class, and it derives from CatalogAware and ObjectManager. It has a few string properties, and a view. If I try to create an object in the same folder as the product, it works. The same user, however, cannot create the object in a different part of the folder hierarchy. Where would I look to check "Create ZClass Instance" permissions? Or perhaps you have solved this problem already?
