UserFolder and errors after owner of an object is deleted

Hi, I just noticed a funny behaviour, if I have a user in userfolder that has created a set of page templates and later I destroy that user - all his / her templates stop working and begin to complain, for example, 'you don't have rigths to access title in this context'. Of course errors disappear when objects are either owned by new user or user, named like old user, is created. Is there any good reason for something like this happening? A bug in security mechanism? oops! over-restricted access to part of my zope server....

Hi all, Whilst (ahem) trying to restrict access to part of my Zope Server to certain IP addresses, I've inadvertently locked myself out of this section! Surely as the admin of the entire Server I can overwrite this somehow? I was following these instructions: http://www.zope.org/Members/muesli/AuthByAddress Everything was okay until I did this: Now restrict access to your new role in the standard way: Deselect all the checkboxes under Acquire permission settings?. There should be a column on the right for your new role. Check the permissions for Access contents information, Search ZCatalog, Use Database Methods, and View. Click the Change button to save your changes. I say everything was okay, it wasn't restricting access - anybody could still visit these pages. So I Deselected ALL the checkboxes under "Aqcuire permissions settings" - after assigning the 4 mentioned permissions to my "RestrictedAccess" role - and hey presto! cannot get back in. Whilst I set a blank password, it won't let me back in with it!! ????!!!! So if anybody could possibly tell me how I might override whatever I have done here, I'd be most grateful! :) Regards, Greg Conway. 2 e-Mails Every Time? :(

External method will not run...

I am setting up a Zope application on a new box and am having a problem with external methods. I can run the method from the shell (logged in as user "zope") with no problems, but the method will not run from the ZMI or anywhere else from inside Zope. Anyone have any ideas? Kevin

Hi All, I have this problem in using ZCatalog. Unzipping question

Hi, again I'm a newbie to Zope/Python and have a small question that I haven't had too much luck in solving on the web. I have a setup where someone uploads a zip file onto my server, but I need to have it be automatically unzipped. I'm 99% sure this can be done with Python scripts, I'm just not sure how since I haven't done that much work in Python to this date. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction? External Method reloading

Is there some magic incantation I can call that will cause all my External Methods to reload themselves? I have a number of External Methods that act as factories for classes defined externally, all of which are subclassed from a single base class, and when I change this base class I have to reload each method separately, which is irritating.
