encoding urls of HTML links from DTML

Hi everybody, how can I access the URLs in the HTML anchor tags (the tags used for hyperlinks) of a n HTML page from DTML? I need to do so to embed in these URLs some session info. All of it should be dinamic, i.e. I don't know in advance what (and how many) links the page I serve to a client contains: URL rewriting should be performed on-the-fly, just before returning the HTML page to the client. I guess I should use <dtml-in argument> syntax, but what should 'argument' be? Put another way, my DTML code should scan its client object (the HTML page to serve to the client) looking for something like 'link' or 'hyperlink' or 'anchor'. Change the port number in the z2.py file (root of zope instance) line 335 # Port for HTTP Server. The standard port for HTTP services is 80. HTTP_PORT=8080 line 347 # Port for the FTP Server. Emacs / XEmacs and FTP

Hi. Anybody know how _login_ to edit objects via Emacs/XEmacs, if user is authorized not on root, but somewhere "deeper", e.g.: zopehost.com/project/, not for whole zopehost.com? All the time I got failure answer. Any ideas? -- Regards, Bogdan I used to be an agnostic, but now I'm not so sure.

You can install multiple zopes. Zope can be run on a specified port. See z2.py for usage. For the future (DTML or Page Templates?)

Hello, in the past (back in the 2.1.0 days, I became (sort of) proficient with DTML--those were the days in which I became hooked with Zope. In the last year (or maybe a bit more than that) I had to give up Zope to pursue something completely different. Now I have returned and found Page Templates :) I'm in the technical director of a new project that we'll start soon, and I have conviced the people here to go the Zope way. So, I have to ask, is DTML being phased out or is it still going strong? How to break redirect

I've just "inherited" a Zope installation, and of course it's broken. :) However, I can't get in to fix it, since all URLs under /foo/bar redirect to /foo/bar/index_html, including /foo/bar/manage_workspace (and /foo/bar/zot/manage_workspace redirects to /foo/bar/zot/index_html, etc)! The installation was originally set up on 2.1.6, but I see the same behaviour on 2.5.1 (I did a straight export/import). So: Does anyone have any advice on how to break this redirection? Note: I have, by manual inspection and hackery, managed to make the thing work, but it would be nice to be able to edit things like database connection parameters from the Zope interface... -- Espen Wiborg <espenhw(a)empolis.no> Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur.

Passing mapping argument to DTML Method

Hi: I'm a bit frustrated trying to pass dictionaries to DTML Methods, I need to pass a dictionary with a lot of pairs key, value to be rendered in a DTML Document. I do something like: monitor_html = DTMLFile('dtml/onemonitor',globals()) ... return self.monitor_html(None,...) But how I can simply pass this dictionary to the namespace of this DTML Document? Zope, MySQL and pictures in blob-fields ...

Hello to everybody! I'd like to provide users with a possibility to upload pictures into a MySQL-Database. Therefore I created a web-form (using method="post" and enctype="multipart/form-data") with an input for uploading files (<input type="file" name="VorschlagBild">). The action of the form calls a SQL-Method that stores the data received from the into a MySQL-table (insert into Vorschlag values([...]<dtml-sqlvar VorschlagBild type="string">)). The picture should be put into a blob-field. I used 'type="string"' because "file" or something similar does not exist. Finally, the record gets stored into the MySQL-database, but the picture isn't saved the way I expected. Taking a look at the content of the table using webmin, the appropriate field just shows "<ZPublisher.HTTPRequest.FileUpload instance at 0x893a7ec>". Can anybody tell he how I manage to save/upload the picture and possibly even show it again in a website afterwards? Thanks in advance, and sorry if it is a simple question ...
