Newbie Question: date formatting/Context

I am new to Zope and OOP, so please bear with my ignorance and stupidity!! I am attempting to retrieve a Date from an interbase DB (using Kinterbas) into Zope (v 2.5.1), but not in the YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.ss format that it wants me to. I am having trouble with this, and have installed mxDateTime in an attempt to resolve the problem. I have written a small Python script in Zope to confirm that it works, and it doesn't. I get errors. the script and error are below: ************************************************************* from mx.DateTime import * while 1: return now().hour ************************************************************* Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not allowed to access DateTime in this context ************************************************************* Can anyone help with either (or both!) problem(s)? searching

Hello list, Happy New Year! Well, I created a Z Search interface, I fill in the PrincipiaSearchSource field and I got back a table with results inside of it. I modified the results table so taht it gives me some LINKS to every file it shows, so I can even click on them and be taken to the found files. Fine Now what I'd LOVE is that when I click on one of those links, the page that opens has got the matching strings highlighted somehow, say: bla bla blah matched string blah bla blah Can anyone suggest me how? thank you all!! CMFCore.DirectoryView

Hi, I try to connect ZPT to my local Filesytem. Previouesly I used localFS and DTML which worked nicely. But according to an earlier post by Dieter I learned that I should use DirectoryView from the CMFCore now. But thats not so easy as I found. Does the registration have to be done on every serverstart again? (How to automate it if so?) How to add new extensions and metatypes? Up to now I succeeded to register an arbitrary Directory on my local FS and different MetaTypes with the external Method given below. But a corresponding klass has to be given for the registration. How to do that using classes like the 'FSObject' return bad file error when I try to view the object in ZMI. Does anybody know about that? Using the Photo Product

First, thanks to all who helped me get the Photo product installed and working. I'm now trying to set up a test page to view the photos. If I use the following tag: pic the picture displays perfectly. However, if I try to set the display size with the following tag: pic I get the following error: Error Type: ImportError Error Value: The _imaging C module is not installed I followed the final instruction of the "Using PIL with Zope" page (http://www.zope.org/Members/regebro/PIL_zope) and copied the files into [zopebase]/lib/python directory. If I start python from the command line (running [zopebase]/bin/python ), I can successfully import Image (import PIL.Image), so why can't Zope find/use those libraries? hello zopers, happy new year to all zopistas !! in my zclasses i have a property to store a birthdate (id 1969/06/17) I want to render the age of that person but if I do (ZopeTime()-birthdate).strftime("%Y") I get age in days (as described in zopebook), so i can't deduce the age ( problem w/ leap years....) I'd like to get a results in years/month/days any idea??? it can't be the first time this is asked thx in advance
