ZPT Equivalent of <dtml-var title_or_id>

I thought this would be easy but apparently it's not. The sample ZPT sheet in the 2.6 distro has this line of code: <title tal:content="template/title">The Title</title> Unfortunately, that doesn't render a thing! So, why is it there?? Someone suggested this: <title tal:content="here/title">The Title</title> which sounded like a good idea, but no cigar. What I want is the ZPT equivalent of this: <dtml-var title_or_id> Does it exist?? TIA, beno

How Do I manage_AddProduct for ZPT?

I'm trying either of these expressions: <p tal:replace="structure python:here.manage_addProduct['PageTemplates'].manage_addPageTemplate(id, title='testing', text=None, REQUEST=None)" /> --or-- <p tal:replace="structure python:path(manage_addProduct['PageTemplates'].manage_addPageTemplate(id, title='testing', text=None, REQUEST=None))" /> but the error says *manage_addProduct is not defined*. What am I missing? TIA, beno

Update: Zope on cd-rom for Windows

Hello list, sorry for bothering with silly question, the last one was really silly. :( I casually discovered that the problem was that the Data.fs file copied from the cd rom was set as "read only" in Win98. Correcting this setting made Zope start successfully. Wow !! ;-) Now I tried to fix the statr.BAT file colling Zope both like this: "bin\python.exe" "z2-py" -Dr AND "bin\python.exe" "z2-py" -D -r none of these tries was successful. The process hangs. What's wrong with this? Also I found a very interesting thread about how to redirect the Zope logs to the Windows equivalent of /dev/null Thank you very much for ALL the suggestions you give and the discussions you generate (with you I mean you, listers ;) ) Bye Catonano

Zope on cd-rom for Windows

Hello all, I made a small Zope application on a Mac (MacOs X), On a Win98 machine, I installed Zope and I replaced the Data.fs, Data.fs.in and Data.fs.tmp files with the ones I had on the Mac. It worked. But when I burned everything on a cd (following the instruction found at www.zope.org/members/jens/docs/zope_on_cdrom) BANG it didn't start complaining an error no. 13 file: [stacktrace snipped] G:\\GD\\var\\Data.fs.tmp Permision Denied What am I doing wrong? One more thing: How exactly do I set the -r flag? Like this: python z2.py -D -r OR like this python z2.py -Dr ?? Thank you so much Bye Catonano

Using Layer with cookies SECOND

Sorry, but the problem is much easier. A cookie like "value=K20-296 296;expires....". is in the REQUEST cookie value=K20-296 All the cookies getting truncated up form the first whitespace. Looking in the Browser/preferences/cookies the cookie is complet and korrekt. thanks Axel

[ZOPE} Question: Customize Guestbook

Hi, I am new to Zope and would like to ask a question regarding the guestbook which was introduced in the zope book. I want to add two more things to my guestbook; the visitor's IP address and email address. What do I have to add in the python code? What I've done so far was (at least for the email): 1. Added the new parameters (email, etc.) to the HTML form. 2. Changed the addEntryAction DTML code to reflect the new parameters: <dtml-call expr="addEntry(guest_name, comments, email, etc.)"> 3. Added the line in the addEntry script with the new parameters: doc.manage_addProperty('email', email, 'string') But I receive an error message. Can someone help me out?
