Hi; I have a python script I call from a page template. Here's the call: <p tal:replace="structure python:here.contentMacro(template.id)" /> Here's the script: template_id = template_id[:-4] if (template_id[:-5] != 'frame') template_id = template_id + '_frame' content = "<p tal:replace='here/" + template_id + "_content/macros/content' />\n" print content return printed If this is called from either *index.zpt* or *index_frame.zpt* it renders the following code: <p tal:replace='here/index_frame_content/macros/content' /> Unfortunately, this code isn't called, just rendered. I would like said macro to actually be called (of course). What have I missed? TIA, beno

call TinyTable view method within DTML Method

Hi everyone, I've got a TinyTable that I would like to render in my index_html. The TinyTable has a view method that does just what I need, but I can't figure out how to render the TinyTable as part of the page. Visiting http://path/to/TinyTableName works. As does http://path/to/TinyTableName/view but <dtml-var TinyTableName> doesn't. Nor do any of the other things I tried. Hi, does anybody know where to get the dll's for expat.dll and pyexpat.dll to install parsedXMLproperly on win98? I cannot produce them with the windows installer of parsedXML? -- many thanks for your replies, Elena

Errors with Windows download

Why is index_html() called instead of __call__()?

I've been trying to use PropertyFolder for awhile now. Almost all of my projects depend heavily on functionality that it would make *much* cleaner. I'm running a fairly standard Debian distribution of Zope, but I have to modify PropertyFolder to define index_html() instead of __call__(), otherwise the "object_type" renderer is ignored. I'm not sure PropertyFolder is to blame. Should an object's __call__() method be used to render it? Any ideas why index_html() might be used instead? Where could I go to track down the misbehavior? I'd like to fix this so I can move on to some enhancements. Thank you. --kyler

ODBC with Zope on SPARC platform

I need to have my Zope applications that are running on non-Windows to be able to connect to SQL Server databases. I've read through various documentation and have yet to arrive at an answer to my problem. The mxODBC Zope DA won't work because I run Zope on Solaris on one box and Linux on SPARC on others (the mxODBC DA betas are for win32 or Linux i686). I thought about using iODBC with the mxODBC extensions and writing my own Python methods to connect, but couldn't get mxODBC going on Solaris. A while back I tried zorton's How-to on Zope.org about ZSQL Relay, but ran into problems with that, too (may try it again). I can't believe I'm the only one needing to use ODBC for non-Linux/non-Windows... does anyone have any pointers on how to get this working? Catalogin unicode content in PropertyObjects ?

Hi all and happy new year, I'm currently building an application with PropertyObject-product with which I create objects that have unicode properties in their propertysheets. Unicode would not be necessarity since for now the content is in latin-1, but I wanted to have the possibility to translations even to other areas if necessary - plus to try out unicode ,-) However my first problem came with ZCatalog. Is there a way to index and search unicode content at the moment? I tried to use ZCTextIndex with ZCTextIndexLexicon - but noticed that all the unicode characters were stripped out. I did searches on mailinglists but the best I found was that TextIndexNG would support unicode later on... Any help? -huima
