It seems that zope.org products list as seen in the right column of the zope.org home page includes stuffs that are not made available by the workflow. e.g. "pyWeb literate programming" at the time of writing this mail. --Gilles

Error Checking in DTML

Hi, I have a small problem. I wrote and dtml form with several input fields. After hitting the submit button, I pass one of the variables to an sql call to find. If it is a valid record, I will display my information but if the record is invalid, I see a blank screen. I have goolged around and I did not find any clues to my problem. Is there an error type I can look for? Any help would be appreciate, thanks Larry _______________________________________________

Analyzing ZODB objects

What is a good tool for analyzing the size of each object in the ZODB, pickled and unpacked in memory? I'm using Zope 2.6.2. With 62,214 objects in memory, the server uses 491MB of RAM. That gives roughly 8kb per object, assuming other things aren't don't contribute to memory usage as well. Is there any way to predict how much memory is going to be used? Bye, -- Bjorn

copy public content to folder

Dear Sir I use Plone for manage my company document. My purpose is that when the staff publish the document from their folder, those content will automatic copy to another folder that I have designated. That mean even though the staff want to delete the content that they purplish from their folder, that content also remain in another folder. Thank you.

Message missing SMTP Header From?? -Error

Here is my (Python) Script: mail_text = container.inform_owner(send_to_address='saravan(a)eas.iis.fhg.de') mail_host = context.MailHost mail_host.send(mail_text) inform_owner is a Page Template and it looks like this: To: <span tal:replace="options/send_to_address" /> From: <span tal:replace="options/send_to_address" /> Subject: A title Content-Type: text/plain; charset=<span tal:replace="here/portal_properties/site_properties/default_charset" /> BODY BODY I get error msg Message missing SMTP Header 'From'. But i am able to use the method, mail_host.send(msg,from_addr,to_addr,subject) Can anyone tell me whats going wrong?. I have been trzing to find it for 2 days. without success.. Accessing ZSQL result object contents via python:repeat

I have an ZSQL result, which I am iterating over using tal:repeat. I can access the column values using tal syntax like item/col1 and item/col2. But how do I access thes values via Python? I've tried python:repeat['item'].col1, python:repeat['item'].col1(), and python:repeat['item']['col1'], but none of those work. What's the magic recipe? I want to install zope from source on Win32.I looked alot of sites. First of all I knew that i must MSVC++ compiler cl.exe.But i have not learnt how to do it. when i write this; python setup.py build --compile=cl.exe this error occurs: distutils.errors.DistutilsPlatformError: don't know how to compile C/C++ code on platform 'nt' with 'cl.exe' compiler Could someone tells me what i should do?I need a step-by -step explaination.. newbie: ZTP in Plone

Hi, I can write pages with ZTP via the ZMI and I can add pages to my Plone site via the Plone interface. But I can't seem to combine the two! If I work in ZMI and add a ZTP page to the Plone folder, it doesn't appear as a Plone page. If I add ZTP to a Plone document, it's not interpreted. I must be missing something really obvious. Please, what is it? How do I get ZTP working inside a page that is visible in the Plone site? I've looked through the Plone docs, but can't find anything relevant, and I've searched the net (honestly! - I know it must be staring me in the face...) Hi, Could I install Zope on the same PC as another software package that uses Zope as infrastructure? I am using Windows XP as my operating system. I want to run two packages on my computer, NOT simultanously. One pack is 'Zope', I downloaded 'Zope-2.6.2-win32-x86.exe' and installed it according to the instructions. The other package is software that using Zope as infrastructure. I installed this software first. When I run it, it opens a webpage with 'localhost:8080'. When I terminate the program, and then try to run zope. Nothing happen. Both packages are installed in my 'program files'. Thanks for your ideas. Justin
