I have a zsql method that inserts data into a table with an auto_increment column, and then calls select last_insert_id(): ---------------------- INSERT INTO cc_transactions(acct,who,total,creationtime) VALUES(<dtml-sqlvar account type="string">, <dtml-sqlvar who type="string">, <dtml-sqlvar total type="float">, NOW()) <dtml-var sql_delimiter> SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID() as id from cc_transactions ---------------------- One would expect to get just one integer (well, id:integer) back from calling this method. However, I get a list of id:integers with every id=actual last_insert_id, and a length equal to the number of rows in the table. I haven't been able to recreate this behavior in a mysql shell client. Any ideas about what's going on? my mysql version is: 3.23.58 Thanks, Andy

problems using 'expand_all' tag on dtml-tree / dtml-forest

Hi, I'm wondering whethre you can help me with this. I'm currently using a dtml-forest structure in my website to show a navigation tree. I'd like this to be completley opened up when I enter the site ... that is all branches expanded. I've tried using <dtml-let expand_all="'true'"> <dtml-forest root branches="showPublic" skip_unauthorized="1"> ....... make links here </dtml-forest> </dtml-let> but this doesn't work correctly cause even though the tree is expanded, when you try to click on the little minus signs near the branches to close them up you simply don't manage ... they will remain open. Then I tried ... <dtml-forest root branches="showPublic" skip_unauthorized="1"> <dtml-let expand_all="'true'"> ... make links here </dtml-let> </dtml-forest> But this doesn't work at all.... ie. the expand_all tag seems to be ignored ... Any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Thanks Ruth

Searching across multiple indexes

I've been looking through various documents which suggest that searching across multiple indexed in a ZCatalog is possible, and it seems to be so, but I've only had partial success. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on why I can't get the following to work properly! (Using Zope 2.6.2) I have a catalog which contains two indexed: description_idx; notes_idx Both indexes can be searched in isolation; the lexicon shows content, and so there appears to be nothing wrong with the indexes. The following code works OK (ie it returns objects as I would expect), doing an 'and' search of the two indexes - with the search term appearing in both indexes: <tal:block tal:define="term request/form/search_term; results python: here.Catalog({'description_idx':term,'notes_idx':term});"> However, if I change this code to read: results python: here.Catalog({'description_idx':term},{'notes_idx':term}); which I have read should produce an 'or' search, I only get results where the first index (description_idx) matches. If I reverse the order, thus: results python: here.Catalog({'notes_idx':term},{'description_idx':term}); I get matches for the first index (notes_idx) but not the second (description_idx) as before. I took this syntax from a document at: http://www.zope.org/Members/k/ZCatalog_searchResults_note Can anyone tell me if this is supposed to work, and if so, why it's not; or if it's not supposed to work, how I can do an 'or' search in similar fashion. delete 'Data.fs.lock'

Hi all, I tried to install two Zope products on the same computer. One of them didn't stop cleanly. From then on, when I try to run the other product. The error message appeared. ' Could not lock the database file. There must be another process that has opened the file. ' I made sure all other processes are closed. The message still appeared. With the assistance of a member of the list, we isolated the problem to the Zope product that didn't stop cleanly, locked the 'Data.fs.lock' file and failed to delete it. We need to delete it manually. However, when I try to delete it. This error message appeared. ' Cannot delete Data.fs: It is being used by another or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again. ' Again, I closed all applications. The error persists. Regards, Justin

BTreeFolder2 or no

I'm putting a customized CMFCollector into production, and wonder whether it would be worth the time to have it use CMFBTreeFolder2 instead of SkinnedFolder. Since CMFCollector's user interface displays its contents through a catalog search instead of hitting every object, I don't know if it could even be an issue. I'm curious about the claim "but it [Zope] has trouble storing a lot of objects in a single standard folder" on Shane's page -- any clarification of that? My site will most likely have fewer than thousands, and certainly fewer than tens of thousands, of issues submitted. So, worth the time, or just go with the default? autologin with CookieCrumbler

Hi, as suggested in previous postings, I tried to log in via setting 2 cookies named ' __ac_name' and '__ac_password' providing username and password-info with CookieCrumbler. But despite I can verify the two cookies in the request, I get the loginform from CookieCrumbler and some query string in the url with something like 'disable_login=1'. Looking into the CookieCrumbler-Code it seems that this should be possible as the request is searched for the two cookies prior showing the loginform. Has anybody done this so far or are there any does and dont's to achiev this? thanks a lot, SK

ZSQL: how to definde null

If posted twice: please excuse (mailserver problem at ISP) Hi , I have a ZSQL method, that looks like Attributes: some_name='empty' UPDATE foo SET bar = <dtml-sqlvar some_name type="string"> WHERE some contitions ... ; But when the variable "some_name" not is passed to the ZSQL method I don't want to have 'empty' in my db but a null value. So I changed the method to SET bar = <dtml-if "some_name=='empty'">null<dtml-else><dtml-sqlvar some_name type="string"></dtml-if> Maybe the is a more elegant way, like setting the default to null, so I can get rid of the if clause. Message missing SMTP Header From?? -Error

Here is my (Python) Script: mail_text = container.inform_owner(send_to_address='saravan(a)eas.iis.fhg.de') mail_host = context.MailHost mail_host.send(mail_text) inform_owner is a Page Template and it looks like this: To: <span tal:replace="options/send_to_address" /> From: <span tal:replace="options/send_to_address" /> Subject: A title Content-Type: text/plain; charset=<span tal:replace="here/portal_properties/site_properties/default_charset" /> BODY BODY I get error msg Message missing SMTP Header 'From'. But i am able to use the method, mail_host.send(msg,from_addr,to_addr,subject) Can anyone tell me whats going wrong?. I have been trzing to find it for 2 days. without success.. I just found it's not that different from unix/linux, you have to put the following at the begining of your start.bat script: SET STUPID_LOG_FILE=C:\Program Files\zope\var\zope.log By the way, if you still want to have a command prompt windows with the last errors occured, then you have to install "tail for windows" and use it with the "zope.log". I found once two versions. They weren't as as nice as the unix/linux one, but they did their work. You have to search perhaps for STUPID_LOG + Windows. However, if I not bad and you're using zope 2.7.x, this procedure was made plattform independent, you only have to modify a config file.
