Zope server stopped today. Why?

Hi, I manage a small Zope/Plone site for our lab, and this morning the server stopped, and I would like to know why, and how to prevent this in the future. We run: Plone 1.05 Windows "standard install" package on a Win2k machine. I looked in z2.log and there was no activity between the last restart of the server (4pm this morning for the nightly backups) and this morning 9pm when the service just was not running. Where should I look? How could this be avoided/prevented? Grateful for any tips! Goran

I have had one strange case where I could not delete a locked file but was able to rename it, after which I could delete it (I do not think this was Zope-related, though I cannot remember the details any more)! Odd ZCTextIndex behavior

Hi folks - I've noticed some odd behavior in the ZCTextIndex. I have an index of searchable terms that include, among other things, the author's employer's name. In instances where the company name is a string followed by a number (in this instance, "the451 group"), searching for the number ("451") even with wildcards ("*451*"), only finds references where the number is alone, and not part of any other string. Oddly, searching for "t*451" matches the name. I'm running the binary 2.6.2 (and 2.6.1) releases on linux. This occurrs in both. Any ideas why this would happen? Is this correctable? -jim

Accessing local drive gives error?

The W2K machine is being run under my name, so that's the user that's being referred to, but that user is an administrator anyway. I am new to ZOPE, and I started with examples from 'Advanced ZODB for Python Programmers' by Michel Pelletier, zope.org/Documentation/Articles/ZODB1 and ZODB2. However, I can not import the ZODB modules. zope runtime error after upgrade to 2.6.2

I get this error when calling a method that worked in Zope version 2.4: RuntimeError "external method could not be called because it is None" Here is the code of the method: for image in context.objectValues('Image'): if not image.hasProperty('original_id'): context.makeThumbnail(image.getId()) Any ideas?

inheritedAttribute search order

Ooh, ooh, I know the answer to this one!!! Per the Python 2.3.2 documentation, Section 9.5.1, it's a depth-first, left to right resolution.
