Here is the Python script - str = 'c:\this\is\a\test' return str When called via dtml-var, each character after a backslash was missing or otherwised changed. comparing strings

I'm was calling a python method from my dtml method and passing it 2 strings which I would like to compare for equality (are they the same string) but I have 2 questions .. Can I do this in dtml without calling the script? I've tried: <dtml-if expr="REQUEST.has_key(link_url) and link_url==remove_link_url"> equal <dtml-else> not </dtml-if> If I call a python script to do this, how do I complare strings in Python? I tried passing the 2 strings and using strcmp(link_url,remove_link_url) but that doesn't seem to do it either. Katie Legere Kingston Frontenac Public Library

can't pack Data.fs due to time-stamp error

I'm trying to move a site to a different computer. Copied (with -p) the Data.fs, started the new Zope (2.6.2). SMTPSenderRefused error

Hi, I'm using a mailhost on my site in order to be able to send out emails. When a user registers into the site I want to validate the email address given to confirm, as much as is possible with a not too detailed function, that the address given is valid. Reading through forums I've concluded that all I need to do is to attempt to send a confirmation or test mail to the given address, if an SMTPSenderRefused error is received then I can assumed that there is something wrong with the mail addrees... the python script I'm using is simply: import smtplib try: Anvil_Page.MailHost.send("This is a test", 'ruth(a)ffff.com') except smtplib.SMTPSenderRefused: get_transaction().abort() return "Invalid email address: please press your browser's='back' key and correct it" else: return 0 The only problem is that when I try to test this script the zope login screen comes up and regardless what passwords and logins I try to enter, including the admin one, I end up with the error: "You are not allowed to access SMTPSenderRefused in this context" Any idea what I've got wrong?

Resource Allocation / Management product?

Z2.log logs user as Anonymous

Hi, I've got CookieCrumbler installed with my Zope site in order to carry out user authentication. My users can initally register to the site - they are added to the acl_users folder in this step. From then on they can log into the site as registered users.... all works fine till here. The only problem is with my Z2.log... the zope access log. I'd like to use this to gather some statistics about which users log in most frequently etc. What's happening though is that when a user logs into the site and continues browsing through it, the z2.log keeps logging the user as "Anonymous". The only time this changes is when I use the ZMI and in that case the log lists the user as 'admin'. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Cheers Ruth
