If you're using DTML, then the batch features of DTML are one way to go ... this however will run the entire query every single time you draw the page ... DTML will then figure out the subset of records to display. If you want to make sure the SQL query itself only returns things that you want in a relevant way, then use the LIMIT/OFFSET clause on your SELECT statement. Then simply pass form parameters around (Index to start, and how many records to show), and feed them to the SQL method as necessary, and you're good to go. We are using Zope 2.6, Python 2.1.3, and the database is in PostGreSQL 7.3.3. The problem I am having is trying to search the database and return a set number of entries. Like how Yahoo! returns 25 possibilities in it's search per page. Or how Google returns 10. I'd like to know how to code it so that a database search returns a set number of entries found, and can make pages with multiple entries if there's more than the set number of entries on a page. Hi, I have created an object in a product and am getting the following error when clicking on the properties tab in the ZMI after adding the object. Can someone explain what it is trying to tell me? Apache + Zope

I'd like to find a good document on how to serve content from Apache and Zope simultaneously. I already have Apache set up with rewrite rules to a ZOPE/Plone installation that serves our dynamic content. I'd like to be able to move our existing legacy content from our IIS server to Apache until that content can be moved up into ZOPE (after some significant clean up). Upgrade from 2.1.4 to 2.6.1

Hi, I have inherited an old Zope installation as follows: Zope-2.1.4 python1.5 FreeBSD 3.5-STABLE I am attempting to move this site to the following: Zope-2.6.1-linux2-x86 Python-2.1.3 Linux 2.4.18-14 I have Zope up and running in the new environment. I exported all of the folders from the old system and imported them to the new system, however, I can't open any of the folders and the code fails on the site. Does anyone know of any detailed intructions that are usefull in upgrading from such an old release of Zope? Any help tht can be provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Brett

I want to setup a site use Plone for my company for document management purpose. My company device in to 5 departments and only memper in this department can access the doccument. could you tell me how can I do? should I create 5 folder with user folder or create more 5 role and grand the member with their role? apache+virthostmonster and 2 virthosts for one instance

hello, I've got a router between internet and local network which runs zope behind apache. The router is accessable from localnet as zope.ki-local.net and from outside as know-it.freealias.de. The apache virtualhost configuration is done this way: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName zope.ki-local.net ServerAlias know-it.freealias.de Options FollowSymLinks <Location /> AuthUserFile /etc/apache/auth/zopeusers AuthType basic AuthName "Know-iT Zope-Testserver" Require valid-user Order deny,allow Deny from all Allow from 192.168.1 Satisfy Any </Location> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^/manage(.*) https://zope.ki-local.net:443/manage$1 [R] RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://localhost:9673/VirtualHostBase/http/zope.ki-local.net:80/VirtualHost… [P] </VirtualHost> the zope virtualhostmonster simply is named zope.ki-local.net this should normally have the effect that everyone from localnet (192.168.1) can access the whole zope area without any restrictions, only the whole /manage area is redirected to ssl area and has normal zope user authentification. users accessing from internet first have to authentificate at the apache login, and then should have the same as local users have. the problem with my installation is, that the local links on the page accessable at http://know-it.freealias.de/ link to http://zope.ki-local.net/... which is not resolvable in the internet. I believe that this is a zope-relating problem since turning of the zope-relating rewriterule turns everything into normal and running, including the two virtualhosts. you can test all this on http://know-it.freealias.de with user test and passwd test. now my question is: how can i make know-it.freealias.de an alias of zope.ki-local.net also for zope, so that everything works in future? thanks a lot for every kind of help, bye jonas ps: please cc: to private since i'm not subscribed to the list.

You can test this accesing directly the creGraph object.
