multiple records update

Howdy, I am trying to update multiple customers records on the same page. I put individual customer records into lists. For example, I have four lists: field1: ['a','b','c','d'} field2: ['a2','b2','c2','d2'] field3: ['a3','b3','c3','d3'] Cust_ID: ['1','2','3','4'] How do i break these list down so that i can pass it to a ZSQL method to udpate this: UPDATE customers SET field1=a, field2=a2, field3=a3, where Cust_ID=1 Then interate until the end of each list where Cust_ID=4 Is this possible to do in DTML? Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Mike

Zope 2.6.2 / Fscounter 1.3.4

Hi , i'm running Zope 2.6.2 and i noticed FSCOUNTER (1.3.4) doesn not work on it . I can assume because a i got a Zope 2.6.1 working on the same machine to check it and it works on the 2.6.1 but not on 2.6.2 . The problem : It doesnt want to increase or to modify ( eg : if i try to give it a new value , it does not change anything , it stays as it is ... ) What kind of messages have i got to give you to see it together ? If you dont maintain it anymore , who is doing it ? Thanks a lot .

Hello there I am trying to learn how to pass variables from a data entry to a python script for processing. I appreciate if you can explain my error below or point me to some form processing python scripts. Note: I had read the Examples that came together with zope. TQ in advance. Tainted strings. Any user-supplied string that contains certain characters is marked as tainted. Using REQUEST.form.get marks it as untainted, while REQUEST.get leaves it as it is. 3. Docstrings. Zope will not publish a method unless it has a docstring and begins with an alphanumeric character (i.e., not an underscore). Unless a method conforms, it will not be possible for any user to request it directly. Unpublished methods can still be called by other objects. 4. Persistence. Zope maintains persistence on strings and numbers just fine, but has no way of knowing if a list or mapping has changed. The self._p_changed assignment marks your object as changed so that the persistence machinery can do its work. There are other ways of accomplishing this, but I wanted to make sure you didn't get much further along without at least hearing about it. 5. You can return dtml (or zpt) objects. Never use a product to create significant amounts of HTML... that's as bad a sin as using dtml for heavy logic. :-) Before you go much further, I'd *highly* recommend reading the Zope Developer Guide. Zope is a quirky beast and there are difficulties lying in wait. And if you're not already a Python wiz, I'd dig into that more deeply too... there's a lot of OO voodoo just below the surface here and if you're not already fluent in how that works, you'll miss a lot of what's possible. This doesn't really answer your question, so... Use Python! I too used to use DTML for task such as this. After investing a few hours into using python scripts, I find them much simpler, easier to debug, and (much) easier to reuse.
