zope using up 90+% of CPU

hi I have a Zope instance that 3 times in the last 24 hours has gotten to a point where its using up almost all of the CPU. Can someone point me to a good tool or method for figuring out what's causing this? I've got CallProfiler installed now and am building up some data, waiting for this to happen again so I can see if I can pinpoint it but I'm not certain that this is right/best tool for the job. versions... After playing around with this a bit more, it seems I can create a folder in "child" ONLY if a folder with that name does not exist in "parent". I can create the folders I need in "parent" only AFTER they're first created in "child". I'd provided partial code in my last email, only to keep things simple. I may be better off providing all of the script. Hello all, I have /parent/child defined as 2 folders off root. I have the following script named "add1folder" in /parent. context.manage_addFolder(folderName, folderTitle, 1, 1) I call the script through a DTML method named "add_folder". So when I access the URL /parent/add_folder, it creates the appropriate folder for me. I log in as Manager in /parent/child (different acl_users folder in child) and try and run the above script as /parent/child/add_folder to create the same set of folders but it doesn't work. What do I need to do to get this to work the way I want, i.e., call "add1folder" while in /parent/child? TIA Samir

Forwarding problem

I have a dtml-document that displays some information given a database key as an argument in the request. I call the document as "/document?id=239". I created a script to receive similar requests: "/docscript/239". This way I could get the key from the traverse_subpath, add 'id' to the request and forward control on to the original dtml-document. If I call the document as "/document?id=239" things display properly. If I call the script, all the basic content on the resulting page is right, but the style sheet and graphics aren't picked up in the process. Both the script and the dtml-document are in the same folder. The script is below. Setting a ZObject's title in its constructor

Using 2.6.1, I'm trying to get the constructor of a ZClass to dynamically assign the ID, and set the title from data passed to the constructor. Setting the ID works fine; setting the title isn't working at all. From the constructor: *# Create an ID dynamically timestamp = "SHLH-%X" % int(context.ZopeTime()) request.set('id', timestamp) request.set('title', 'My title') #request.set('title', request.form['Sender_Name']) instance = container.MyZClass.createInObjectManager(request['id'], request) * Why does this work for 'id', but not for 'title'? DTML v. ZPT

I'm looking at migrating a high traffic site from DTML to Zope Page Templates. Does anyone have any ideas on what the performance difference will be? Is it still the case that ZPT is quite a bit slower than DTML? A
