Secure file downloading problem

Hi! I have simple task to develop in Zope - make secure files available for download, but the user shouldn't see the REAL URL of the files (neither in browser nor in any download manager). Is it possible to do this through Zope? Thanks for answer, Lubos.

ExternalEditor and Umlauts

I'm having some problems using ExternalEditor/gvim with umlauts. The irritating thing is that this is the first time this happens. Datapoints: 1. development server, zope 2.5.1 + ExternalEditor 0.5, mozilla 1.2.1 -> works 2. staging server, zope 2.5.1 + ExternalEditor 0.5, mozilla 1.2.1 -> doesn't work As one can see, the only difference is the server used (and the python version, though I think I build them both in the same fashion). Mozilla says that pages from Server 1 are ISO-8859-1 encoded, while the others are UTF-8 encoded, and seems to act accordingly: This happens when I post the dtml-method editing form with "äöü" as text in the two servers: 1. title=&data%3Atext=a%F6%FC&SUBMIT=Save+Changes 2. title=&data%3Atext=%C3%A4%C3%B6%C3%BC&SUBMIT=Save+Changes Seems mozilla sends this as UTF-8 in the second case, right? So, either I have to solve the mystery how to get rid of the UTF-8 encoding, or I have to find out how to teach external editor/gvim UTF-8. Any hints/comments? Thanks, oliver

Passing keyword options to PageTemplateFile?

I'm creating a Python product ('MyClass') and attempting to use Zope Page Templates for the 'manage_*' forms. In my manage_addMyClassForm, I want the ZPT to render a multiple selection list (of 'categories') using a tal:repeat statement which accesses 'categories' through the 'options' ZPT name. My problem lies in passing the 'categories' sequence into the ZPT (via 'options') from the MyClass.py module. Here's what I have so far: - MyClass directory which contains __init__.py, MyClass.py, and a sub-folder ('www') which contains the ZPT forms. - MyClass.py defines MyClass and the 'categories' sequence (at the global level). It also instantiates a Page Template object like so: preAddForm = PageTemplateFile('www/manage_addMyClassForm', globals()) - Then, I attempt (and fail) to create my manage_addMyClassForm Page Template this way (trying to use PageTemplate.__call__): manage_addMyClassForm = preAddForm(categories = allCategories) My intention is that the above line passes 'categories' into the Page Template as one of the 'options' keyword arguments so that I can repeat over the sequence like: tal:repeat="category options/categories" It doesn't work and I thank you in advance if you have any advice. Xron and CookieCrumbler

hola Zopistas, I'm having a problem with some Xron methods I need to run daily, and which live in a folder underneath a CookieCrumbler authenication manager. I have given the Xron DTML Methods the proxy role of a user who is authorised to access any methods involved. I have even given the xron methods the Manager role to try to get it working. When I try to set the method to run, I see that the cookiecrumbler has redirected back to the login page, as if the method's trigger call was unauthorised. If dreamweaver breaks TAL tags, then dreamweaver is doing something wrong. It shouldn't touch them, since it doesn't know what it is. However, with TAL it is possible to make a WYSIWYG editor that works without a problem, but with DTM, you can't (unless you make a special DTML+Zope editor).
