How to split text into few parts?

Hi all, does somebody know how to put text into balanced (or gradually unbalanced) columns, like printed newspapers has? Something like that: <dtml-let "sizing=get_size(filename)/3"> <table><tr><td> <dtml-var filename size=sizing> </td><td> <dtml-var filename sizefrom=sizing size=sizing> </td><td> <dtml-var filename sizefrom=sizing*2> </td></tr></table> </dtml-let> Nice, but <dtml-var filename size=300> does not help because it shows only first part of text. PropertyFolder Title

Hello everybody, I am using Zope 2.6 and the PropertyFolder 1.3.1. Each time when I want to modify and store the title of a Folder, I only get a blank title. Any Ideas ? Zlasses and icons

Hello, I am working on a product that is created by using ZClasses. When I create an object in the ZMI no icon is shown. How can I add an icon to a ZClass that will be shown in the ZMI? Corrupt Data.fs after using version

Hi, in the last six month I had two times the problem, that after doing some changes in a version and then saving the version, my Data.fs was corrupt and some Zope objects were no more accessible. Each time I have been able to recover from the corrupt Data.fs by using a backup of my Data.fs and exporting/importing my application. Using fsrecover.py didn't help, because the changes I had done in the version were lost in the Data.fs output of fsrecover.py. The environment I use is: SuSE Linux 7.1 Zope 2.5.1 Python 2.1.3 To get more information why this problems occur I did some tests. I did a small change to one Zope object in a version and saved the version. Before this change fsrecover.py reported no problem, after the change I got the following error: ZODB.POSException.VersionLockError: ("'\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x000\\xa4'", '/Test/Test Version') I tried to do the same test with Zope 2.6.1, but fsrecover.py doesn't seem to work correctly in Zope 2.6.1, I only got a lot of error messages like these (before and after the change): __main__.ErrorFound: bad transaction length at 3018384 exceptions.TypeError: __init__() takes exactly 10 arguments (8 given) Any ideas? How do I import packages/modules from Products?

Hi all, I want to make ZCatalog an attribute of a product. The product is a subclass of folder, and I could add a ZCatalog in the product's constructor with something like this object.manage_addProduct['ZCatalog'].manage_addZcatalog(id="zc1") however an attribute will not show up in the contents tab of the product and will not be tampered with. I have tried to import ZCatalog into my product, but a look at the path from my product shows that zope/lib/python/products is not in the path. I do not want to tamper with the path without advice - ie. is there security reasons for not adding products to the path? Is there another way of importing it (maybe a conveniance method) that will allow me to import it without manually changing the path? ZCatalog: searching with OR

Is there any way to seach a catalog for either column1 = 'something' OR column2 = 'something' ? searchResults(column1='something', column2='something') Only returns results when 'something' is in both column1 AND column2 I could combine 2 results but then they won't be weighted correctly... Have I got any other options?

SESSION ques

I have kidn of asilly ques regarding sessions and scope. In my setup when a user logs in certain session variables are set up. Now if on a page down a certain path I do a SESSION.clear(), will it clear *everything* or just any session variables that I set up during that REQUEST. If I understand correctly, I think the likelihood of the same id being chosen is very low; that said, I think the generateId() method is also designed to reduce likelihood of conflict errors (though not entirely eliminate) by having each thread or ZEO client likely writing to different buckets (thanks to random initial id per thread, plus sequential behavior afterward for so many ids).
