Hi Don, I've read the responses on your question so far and don't want to argue about whether you should use DTML or PythonScript or whatever. I think however that your problem is in the ZSQL method. The variable names in your database contain capitals. I think for entering (and updating) you need to put the variable names in quotes when you use capitals, otherwise Postgress or Zope (I don't know which one) assumes they are all small caps. Change th Mange-Interface of Zope

Hello, i'm new to Zope. I think i have a faq-question, but i found no faq. Where could i find one? Is there any possibilty to change to manage interface of Zope. I want to prevent some users of delete or changing the user accounts (at least the ones of the other users). Additional i want to create a workspace where the users are only allowed to do things they need to do but it should also be possible to add easily more features (of the Zope interface e.g. they dont need to add Scripts, but if one does it should be easy to allow this to him) or hide them.

--Can't build Oracle connector for Oracle 91 on Solaris 9--

Hello, Has anyone tried to use Zope Oracle Database Adapter with Oracle 9i ? I am trying to build the source of DCOracle2 on Solaris 9 for Oracle 9i but the build fails giving me an error that it can't find the library files "common","core4","nlsrtl3". While installing Oracle I got no errors but I cant see these library files on my server. I have enclosed the output of the make command. I would appreciate any pointers / suggestions on this. Thank you all for the help and info. I now have the errors coming up properly, thanks Paul. So now I can see what is going on. I was able to trace the root of the problem and it came up to where I was referencing a value that was not passing right. I have changed the reference and BAM! it works. Dario, I am taking your suggestion on Python - I'm hitting the books and info available to trap errors etc through Python. Also, Don, you really don't want to use DTML for that kind of stuff. Better to direct the posting of the form to a pythons script ("Script (Python)" as they are called in the ZMI) and then generate error messages form there and then either redirecting to or calling a DTML-method to report errors/success. Doing all that in DTML is way to hard to be worth the effort - been there, done that - and you'll be able to write code that traps errors in a much nicer way than you can do in DTML - and as a bonus you will find that yopur code will easier to write and debug.
