Catalog Question

All, I followed an example and created a catalog for my site, its id = Catalog. I created three indexes Name Index Type Id Fieldname Title TextIndex Bobobase_modification_time DateIndex created FieldIndex modified FieldIndex I create three meta_type Title Bobobase_modification_time Getid modified Then I executed a find object of a 3rd party product which I have modified to allow auto cataloging. If works great. My problem is the created and modified times are not correct and do not change if I edit the object. The Bobobase_modification_time date and time is correct, but this changes every time I upload or change the object. What I need is a create date and modified so I can search on objects that where created/modified in the past x hours Is there a way for me to trouble shoot where the time is being set for created and modified. How to hunt down memory hog?

I have a fairly simple Zope application which is occasionally (every couple of days) taking up around 75% of memory on my system. (according to the %MEM column of top) When this happens my application slows to a crawl, and I have to cycle my zope service. Is there an easy way to get an idea of all the active objects and their sizes, or else some other sensible way for me to figure out where this huge memory leak is coming from? Thanks, Mark Roach

External method called twice?

Hi, I'm in trouble with zope and external methods. Sometimes (and I haven't been able to detect exactly when), my external method get called twice, even thought it is called only once from ZPT. It seems there are two independent threads accessing the same method's body. Any suggestion? Something like Java's 'synchronize'? Could someone out there help me? Attribute Error while adding ZSearch Interface

Hi Everyone, I am trying to add a ZSearch Interface to a website which contains around 3500 objects. I have a ZCatalog instance in the same folder. But while adding ZSearch Interface I am getting an Attribute Error the error_log says as follows. Attribute Error: _catalog Traceback (innermost last): Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 98, in publish Module ZPublisher.mapply, line 88, in mapply Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 39, in call_object Module Shared.DC.ZRDB.Search, line 47, in manage_addZSearch Module Products.ZCatalog.ZCatalog, line 593, in _searchable_arguments AttributeError: _catalog I am using Zope 2.6.0, I am new to ZCatalog hence it is quite possible that I am doing something wrong while setting it up. I also looked in to the ZCatalog.py as suggested by the traceback but I couldn't find the exact cause of error. Any information on this is deeply appreciated. Thanks in Advance Shashank Ashtikar

error calling Zope.app()

When I call Zope.app() I get a traceback saying from Products.PythonScripts.PythonScript import PythonScript ImportError: Mo module named PythonScripts.PythonScript what does this mean? Under Products I have the dir PythonScripts and it has the module PythonScript. In the debugger... I can call import Products right before the fatal line. But I cant import any Product itself. Zope crashes after startup

Hi all, I just installed a fresh freebsd 5.0. I then put apache2 and zope2.6.0 onto it from src. My problem is that when zope starts, without errors(except usual python 2.2.2 untested errors), the process appears in the ps x list then drops out after about 10 seconds. Restart causes "Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 98, in publish"

Hi List, I am new to the whole zope world, so I'm sorry if this is a real newbie question. :) I have zope setup and everything seems to be working OK. except for 2 things. Someone developed a zope product that I installed on the server that produces errors and in the control panel when I try to restart the zope server I get an error page. Any ideas where I can start looking to fix this? (BTW, I can restart it from the command line.) I don't know if any of the following is relavent or not, but I figured it can't hurt to include it.
