ZsapdbDA and 7.4

I am trying to use the ZsapdbDA with a version 7.4 sap database on Linux. this simple query: select count(*) as count_total from inventory group by CATEGORY returns a result set in SQL Studio, but not in the ZSQL instance? Basic SELECT statements without GROUPING clauses seem to work OK... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Access method of a secondary base class

Hi I created a ZClass with a few base classes, namely: ZObject, CatalogPathAwareBase, ZDTMLDocument, ZObjectManager (in this order) Now, when I access the manage_main method of objects of this class I'm shown the usual interface for DTMLDocuments. How can I access the Contents view that my objects inherit from ZObjectManager. Thank you

ZCatalog next/previous?

I'm iterating through a ZCatalog (with a typical "dtml-in Catalog" call). For each item in the Catalog, I create a link that passes the value of "sequence-query" through the URL. Once I load the page (that the URL points to), I want to be able to determine the "sequence-query" of the NEXT item in the Catalog. Is there any way to do this? I've been looking through all the documentation that I can access and have had no luck so far. I assume that this is possible. ~Mark

So you can't access anything starting with underscore, for example. You probably want to look into creating Python products. It's easier and much more powerful than doing it "inside" of the ZODB. Hi List, I am working on a project which will make use of a lot of python code. And I just ran accros a problem trying to use python OO within zope. Line 9: "__init__" is an invalid variable name because it starts with "_" ... I looked at the Zope book, but it does not mention anything directly about this, it just say to obay the Zope programming rules. Now I can not imagine it not allowing to use OO-Code, so I must be doing something wrong. I think, I now how I confused Zope. I had the File __init__.py in both locations. This seems to be only neccassary in the "main" products folder. This is to announce the release of Pound v1.4. Changes in this version: - support for certificate chains - user-definable error pages - new Server configuration directive - compatability with OpenSSL 0.9.7 - compile-time flags for running in foreground and/or logging to stderr - some bug fixes and speed improvements The software is at version 1.4 (production quality). Further testing (especially under heavy loads), improvements and suggestions are welcome. What is Pound (from the Web page) - a reverse-proxy: it passes requests from client browsers to one or more back-end servers. - a load balancer: it will distribute the requests from the client browsers among several back-end servers, while keeping session information. - an SSL wrapper: Pound will decrypt HTTPS requests from client browsers and pass them as plain HTTP to the back-end browsers. - an HTTP/HTTPS sanitizer: Pound will verify requests for correctness and accept only well-formed ones. - an HTTP/1.1 to 1.0 proxy. - a fail-over-server: should a back-end server fail, Pound will take note of the fact and stop passing requests to it until it recovers. - a request redirector - it will pass client requests to separate groups of servers, based on required URL and the presence or absence of headers (pattern matching) Pound was specifically developed to serve as a front-end for multiple instances of Zope running on top of a common ZEO storage, but can be used with any other web server. A patch for the Python source of z2.py is available as part of the distribution to allow using Pound's SSL capabilities. Pound is currently in use in several medium to large volume sites and seems to be holding up quite well: largest reported site does about 5.5 million requests per day, peaking at over 450 requests per second. The speed is well superior to other, equivalent solutions, the configuration is much simpler and the necessary resources (CPU, RAM, disk) are much, much lower. Pound is distributed under the GPL. Sorry for the late answer. Yes, that works :) but I would need to do a lot of work by hand. I understand that "Accellerated HTTP Cache Manager" doesn't do the trick? Why is it in the distribution then, anyway? Is there a way to write a function that is called on delivery of _every_ object? Hello list, What is the information the session-IDs consists of (of course in crypted form)? Or asked in another way: What are the criteria to create a new one? I think it's something like: - browser id Here is also the question: What is in it? - user - kind of browser (e.g. netscape, ie) - client hostname - ??? - timestamp (or better: the previous session has ended) Is there a possibility to differ requests sent from different browser windows? skip the XXX_addForm

Hi Is it somehow possible so make the addForm for a ZClasses to be automatically posted with a generated ID? I know how to do it in Javascript but I'd rather avoid using it at this stage, is there any other way to go directly to the XXX_add script? I do generate a unique id for my objects but I still have to press the button for actually calling the XXX_add script. I've built a few Zclasses with highly customized addForm, but I need the same form to be present for changing the properties already created objects. I'd rather have an automatic creation of the object and then directing the user into the property page. In this way I would have only one form page to mantain and update and I'd also handle the automatic cataloging only in the "changeProperties" context. Thank you
