You are looking at the result object returned from the query - it is not an error - and it contains the info you want. But you have to extract your result from it. To see the count, remember that you are getting back a set of rows, even though there is only one row. Dieter, Thanks for the update ... My situation might be somewhat different though: 1) I don't use ZEO 2) This happens without me trying to "kill" anything, so basically, if there's a "kill" signal being generated, it's not from me! 3) Which brings on the old problem of memory leakage ... I went through EXTENSIVE reworking of my Zope setup, and it looks like the leak was gone ... Could it be it's really not? When I still had a noticeable memory problem, sometimes the master thread/process would actually get a SIG11 or SIG25 (If I remember correctly) and restart Zope properly. Could it be I'm actually STILL having a memory problem, only Zope no longer reacts nicely to the signal? I'm pretty sure my memory leak is gone honestly, the numbers do stabilize after a day or so ... But the "lockup" problem occurs so much more often now that I can't really tell! Like I said, storage operations actually only happen internally to our organization, so I'll try to track it down to see if there's a correlation next time I see this happening. Thanks for the help! Usually, the browser renames the file extension so that it is the wrong extension. Then the unzip program cannot unzip it bcause it thinks the file is in a different format. Check the file extension that is being sent from the website, and the file extension that actually gets downloaded, and rename the file to the correct extension if necessary. That should do it. When I tried your file just now with Phoenix, it added an extra ".gz" to the filename. Probably it is getting served with the wrong MIME type. When I removed the extra ".gz', Winzip was able to unzip the .tgz file with no trouble. not allowed to access unquote in this context while importing urllib

Hi, This one is from Zope newbie. I am trying to include python script to for decoding of the url's in Zope folder.(importing urllib) Whenever I try to test my python script the web interface asks me for admin password three times. It doesn't authenticate me with password and instead gives me error : Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not allowed to access unquote in this context I would be thankful for any pointers. I didn't see anything in the Logfile that gave me a clue. Since I got this problem on a Production Server I did a fresh install and added all my used products again. That solved my immidiate problem. But I still have the Zope installation with that Problem. Now I have a much cleaner Zope with separated Folders for Zope Products and additional Products ... Some more background on that Error: I had some products on my test server that I now wanted to use on the production server. One of them patched the standard.py as I found out later. Can you run the Python interpreter in your Zope installation and have it display the Python path? Especially find out where the standard Python "xml" package is located (before you messed with the PyXML one). I think you want to put the PyXML package earlier on the Python path than the standard xml library. ProxyPass weirdness with Plone

I am very new to Zope, and in fact came to it via Plone. I've set up Plone on my test server and can access it via port 8080 OK. I've been working to get it running via Apache on port 80, and have created a ProxyPass directive and set up VHM so that I can use VirtualHostBase to present the URL I want. My ProxyPass is set up thus: http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/hudson.DouganConsulting.com:80/ where hudson is my test box (on its own lan segment). The issue I am seeing is that when I connect to the Plone home page, and log in, I get the logged in successfully message, but if I try any of the page links (e.g. "my preferences"), I am presented with the login screen, and if I enter it again, I keep looping around. I can successfully connect using localhost:8080 so it seems to be an issue with ProxyPass/VHM. My server is running th Mitel SME Server distro (which is based on RH 7.3).
