Hello all, I was wondering if it's possible for me to use the instance of Python 2.1.3 created by the installer instead of Python that comes with Zope? I.e., in z2.py, change c:\zope-dir\python\python.exe c:\zope-dir\zope\z2.py ... other args ... to - c:\python213-dir\python.exe c:\zope-dir\zope\z2.py ... other args ... Are there differences between the way Python is compiled in the 2 instances? I'm on Win32. TIA. Regards, Samir

you first calculate how many hours in advance you wish to set the time. cut/paste and change id

Hello, zope users! Can anybody give an advice how to implement the following: i need cut some objects from folder, change their id and paste into another folder, programmatically. I know for cuting/pasting - manage_cutObjects/manage_pasteObjects, but how to change ids in cut objects but not yet pasted? Thanks in advance. Best regards, Ruslan

Sorting a list of folders based upon PART of the folder id

I have an application where a front-end constrains the ids of created folders so that they have some significance to the application. I'd like to be able to sort these folders using Python's sort facility, but I am having problems doing this within a Zope Page Template. As an example, I would like to be able to do an alphabetic sort of the folder IDs based upon the concatenation of the last and first characters of the idea. I suppose that I could create a Python module to do this, but I was hoping for a slick way to do it entirely within Zope. Suggestions appreciated. Also, has anyone written a SQL-like ORDER-BY or GROUP-BY sort routine for Zope/Python? Sean McLinden Allegheny County Health Department

Import Zope Problem in Zope's Python

Hi, having installed zope 2.6.2 on winXP my pythonpath contains: L:\Zope\Zope262\bin;L:\Zope\Zope262\bin\lib;L:\Zope\Zope262\bin\DLLs;L:\Zope \Zope262\bin\lib\lib-tk;L:\Zope\Zope262\bin\Pythonwin;L:\Zope\Zope262\lib\py thon;L:\Zope\Zope262\lib\python\ZTUtils But still I cannot import Zope in the IDE or Command-Window despite the Browse Tool finds zope.py in ZTUtils. What can be the problem? All Modules from L:\Zope\Zope262\lib\python are not found via import. I am quite clueless what to do? Does anybody know more? Thanks for your replies, --Elena

zope Extensions on mdk 9.1

Hi to all, I started using zope about a month ago and I enjoy it so congatulations first. I installed mdk9.1 with their zope rpm. It is working fine, what I found (may be not the best way to do it): - run zpasswd access in /var/lib/zope to change the password. - if you need to change the parameters to z2.py (port nb for ex) edit /usr/sbin/zope-server now I am struggling trying to find my favourite Extensions directory. datatype-lines

Hi there, I want to use "lines(datatype)" for storing more than one userid. and when a use is logged in I want to check if the userid of the user logged in to the application is there in the "lines".
