ftp to zope

i have linux a box with zope 2.4 on it. I have a fold directory /f1/f2 user u0 has root rigths. user u2 can only access to f2. The problem is that: u0 can use ws-ftp to ftp files to the zope, but u2 can not. becuase everytime ftp will try to connect to /. how can i let zope to do that: when user u2 try to ftp someting to zope the default directory will be /f1/f2? Hi all, When using CookieCrumbler.credentialsChanged(self, user, name, pw) is the name param the name of the cookie (pw_cookie) or the username. I assume pw is the new password.

Apache/VHM _and_ AccessRule at the same time

Hi, I'm running into some problems having Apache Rewrite -> Virtual Host Monster and an Access Rule _at the same time_. The Access Rule (which extracts an embedded variable from the URL, similar to http://www.zope.org/Members/4am/SiteAccess2/otheruse ) works fine when I access the Zope Server directly through its IP. The Apache Rewrite/VHM on the other hand works fine as long as I don't access the folder holding the Access Rule. So I assumed both individual settings were alright (see below). But as soon as I access _that_ folder through a domain, I get very weird URLs generated on my pages (which don't work of course): The VirtualHostBase is _not_ removed, and a "/VHost//" is added after it. I'm not sure how to handle this. "/Customers/Subfolder/x" then uses that customer_id to show corresponding information. If I go to "1.2.3.4:8080/Interfaces/InterfaceAdmin/Customers/mycustomer/Subfolder/x" it works, and if I go (no further down than) "admin.mydomain.com/x", everything's fine as well. But "admin.mydomain.com/Customers/mycustomer" (and of course anything further down, i.e. .../Subfolder/x) don't work as expected. For example a link to the subfolder .../Accounts/hisaccount (which I build with container['Accounts'].absolute_url() + '/hisaccount') will come out as: http://admin.mydomain.com/Interfaces/InterfaceAdmin/VHost///Customers/mycus… The domain is kept, but the VirtualHostRoot /Interfaces/InterfaceAdmin remains, and "/VHost//" is appended to it. (A REQUEST dump said exactly that same thing...) Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this? What exactly is "Virtual Host Monster" (yes the VHM in the Zope root has the id "VHost" :-)) doing to the virtual root and how can I work with it as intended? Ideally, a solution would work both ways - IP and domain-based. But I'm ready to sacrifice the IP-based access if only the domain rewriting would work with my Access Rule... :-( Any help highly appreciated, thank you very much in advance, Danny P.S.: Please "Reply All" to include my address since I am currently not a subscriber of zope(a)zope.org... export python scripts on file system

Hi, Is there any product or method that will export my site to respective files on my file system?? i.e. take each file and write it out to a folder on my machine.(not as .zexp or .xml, but source) wget doesn't work ok because downloads only html and images, ==> what happend with my Python scripts ?? can I export to my file system ?? ZServer & iPlanet

Hello all, We're using iPlanet as our main server(s) at the moment. I'm trying to figure out how to integrate ZServer with iPlanet. iPlanet runs on port 80, Zope on port 8080. Does anyone have any experience with this set-up? Are there any issues involved, things I should watch out for? Any suggestions? References? Anything will be appreciated, as I'd rather not be relying on the IT boys to do the work for me (they make 'a mountain out of a molehill' & take forever). Thanks in advance. Regards, Samir.

Help: Unzuthorized Context on sub-object of product sub-class

I am working on a large multiple object application product and in one module I have encountered an unauthorized context' error that I have been unable to solve over several days now. The following classes make up the module causing me problems. However, I must be able to edit the metadata of the KVItem objects that make up the query of the Link URL so that link templates with dynamic query data can generated on the fly fron REQUEST and SESSION data. I have messed with AccessControl.ModuleSecurityInfo in various places to see if I could gain access to the KVItem data to no avail. At this point I am not sure what to do. I have been successful connecting to MS SQL but I cannot get me Access connection to work.
