How do I encrypt files in the ZODB

I recently finished my first project in Zope! A file managements system with it's own admin screens. I have recently received requirements for the next version in which the client is asking that the contractors have access to everything but the PDFs that have been uploaded. I know that I could encrypt the PDFs before that they are uploaded but the secretaries that do it it have a hard enough time just creating PDFs. This leads me to my subject. How do I encrypt files in the ZODB? With regards to just PDFs. Something in Python? A product that I missed? A How To that I missed? Upload the files to a external file system that is encrypted? Any sugestions, feedback and general ideas are appreciated. Rob G.

Hello David Please reply to the list. In Zope.org a reply will not go the list, you have to make a reply all (and then delete the sender, so he doesn't get the mail twice). What kind of Zope product would you like to see?

Sorry, this is going to contain several ignorant assumptions. I've decided to write a Zope product, and my next step is deciding what it should do. Having knocked around a few poor ideas, I thought this might be the right place to look for suggestions. Perhaps someone out there has an idea for a simple product that'll do just what they need, but they can't code it themselves.I'm happy to jump in there and get coding if the idea's a good one. All I'd ask from you is some patience in debugging my efforts.Just so you know: this will be my first attempts in Python, let alone Zope. I've just finished reading the 'Zope Bible' and Web Application Construction Kit and am keen to put what I've learnt into practice by creating an open source Zope product and try to make a few quid from it. I'm a sysadmin with more years experience than I like to admit to, and I'm looking to this as my route out of that.For example, I was thinking of some sort of helpdesk thing, but I see this is already covered by the IssueHandler and 'f2w' projects (the first isn't looking for volunteers, the second requires Linux, which I haven't got). Then I'm thinking of something for running clubs, but Plone seems to have that covered better than I ever will. Maybe you're trying to run a zoo or a prison or a bike shop and I can provide you with a solution? How to see published folders with Plone...

Hi, When I publish a folder (with Reviewer role) I would like anybody to see my folder in "my Folder" tab or something like that. But it doesn't work like this. In fact anybody can find documents stored in my published folder with ZCatalog research tool but they can't see my published folder directly. Is there a way to display published folders? Thanks. Zope or Apache gzip encoding?

I played around with Gzipping on Zope2.6.2b4 last night and while it worked for most browsers, it did not work in Safari 1.0 and Mac IE 5.2, both which just saw the site as a file and downloaded it. Has anyone found a fix for this within Zope? Also, I am I just beeing daft here and should I just use mod_deflate in Apache? BZ

Hello, I'm a beginner with Zope / CMF / PLone and I'm trying to install CMFForum in a Plone Site. I've done an external method in Root Folder: Id: install_forum title : Install Forum Module Name : CMFForum.Install Function Name : install Now I know I have to execute this external method but I don't know how to do?
