Problems with copying own objects

Hi! I've created two own objects, which cannot be copied. The first is derived from the DTMLMethod and the second one is derived from SimpleItem. An error which tells me that the Products doesn't support this operation is raised. It's line 375 of OFS/CopySupport.py. Other objects I derived from Folder or Image work fine. ECONNREFUSED in debug.log, can not log into zope

After setting up a new Zope (using the site-layout NZORedux) I can start zope, however I can not attach to it. the debug log has error as like follows: PROBLEM(100) zrpc:9529 CW: error connecting to ('localhost', 8001):ECONNREFUSED what can be the reason? what can I do to fix it? thanks for any feedback -- mit freundlichen Grüssen Robert Rottermann www.redCOR.ch

About uploaded files...

Hi, I'm looking for information about uploaded files. I would like to know how files like Microsoft WinWord documents are stored when I use CMF or Plone. Are they stored inside ZODB or to a file system? What I'm afraid is that ZODB size explodes... We are expecting more than 30000 users with a lot of document's upload. Thanks. Newbie screwup -- help!

I just started using Zope, and just managed to create part of a usable portal on my site. Then for some dumb reason I changed its name -- now when I try to open the portal from within the management menu, I get a message telling me "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked." I did an undo on the name change, and that doesn't help. Is there anything I can do to get back this portal, or am I s.o.l. -- need to delete it and do it all over again? Thanks for any help. Gordon -- Dr. Gordon A. Change form data in request

Hi all. I know that the request object stores all the informations about the current request, i.e. cookies, server data, form data and input headers. So, i get request using this syntax: r = context.request And using .set it is possible to change values of variables stored in request. Now the question: why r.set( 'name', 'newvalue' ) # changes a variable in 'option' section of request works, and r.set( r.form[ 'variable_in_form' ], 'newvalue' ) does not? I need to modify a variable stored in 'form'! Any hints? Thanks Paolo Dina P.S. manage_addObjects?

Hi all, I regularly need to add and delete bunches of objects, but I need to have a look at them before going ahead. Deleting is no problem: I put them into a form with checkboxes and send them to a method containing <dtml-call "manage_delObjects(REQUEST['ids'])">. To add, the best I have come up with is to put my values into a long page of add_forms and hit 'submit' for each one. This is boring. Adding these objects programatically is not an option, as I need to correct minor errors and eliminate some records. There is no single data file on which to perform these corrections in advance, as the values are assembled dynamically. Is there something like 'manage_addObjects? Best, Ken

page template, acquistion and/or fill-slot problem

Hello, me again So I've managed to use multiple templates with acquisition in order to have different look'n'feel. One problem I've got is the following. 1) I call the macros from the page templates in that way : <HTML metal:use-macro="here/page_template.pt/macros/page"> 2) I defined a folder, with another page_template.pt in it. This folder is called different_template 3) To have a different look I call the pages with this url html://somesite/different_template And that works ! But, only for the first page when I access somesite/folderA/different_template I keep getting the front page (that's logic since zope acquire the index_html from the root folder not the one from folderA). Do you have any ideas on how I could do that ? (I already tried to pass the whole path (folderA/different_template/page_template.pt) and it works but then I've got a problem with the slots in the template that are not overriden). Do you have any ideas on how I can achieve the comportement I want ? -- (°> Nicolas Évrard / ) Liège - Belgique ^^

What's the difference about ZopeTime() and DateTime() ?
