Problem with acquisition and macro.

Hello, I've put this hierarchy in my site : /root-folder | ` page_template ` index_html + folderA | ` index_html + print-friendly | ` page_template I thought that when accessing http://somesite/print-friendly/folderA I would use the page_template found in print-firendly. But this is not the case. Here is the way I import the page template in my index_html : <HTML metal:use-macro="here/page_template.pt/macros/page"> Do anybody has a clue ? -- (°> Nicolas Évrard / ) Liège - Belgique ^^

Form Persistence Strategy

HI Zope Experts! Hopefully I have a simple problem.....I'm trying to figure out to display and validate a form, then store the form data into a searchable ZCatalog in the zodb. I've looked at Formulator, but I don't know how to deal with the persistence issue (and I can make the form easily enough in HTML anyway and call a handler script, so that's fine). I've read the Catalog chapter in the Zope Book, but making a Product doesn't seem to help me as my user's won't be in the ZMI. I haven't found anything clear in the Admin's Guide that is directly useful for someone trying to write DTML or Page Tempates from within the Zope context. I'd really just like to write a certain type of Python class (maybe using records?) and instantiate it and store it from some DTML so everything works....this has got to be easy, right? Yet I haven't found one clear recipe/example/HowTo..... Tom the Zope Novice

Zope pdf's on the fly

Microsoft's IE uses non-standard techniques to determine the type of a file. To bend it to our will, we've found that the generation program needs to be named with a '.pdf' extension. This, of course, makes it a bit difficult to embed in a dtml call. (As a form action, it works...) What I have is an external method that manages the interfact to HTMLDOC by building a html file, sending it to HTMLDOC, gathering the result, and returning it with appropriate headers to the client. If I use a form to set up parameters to the external method and <form action="doit.pdf()"> .. </form> it works fine. Of course, <dtml-varB expr="doit.pdf()"> doesn't.

Surpress white space?

Greetings: Is there an easy way to surpress all whitespace output from DTML? Essentially, I have a situation where DTML is used for a crutch to do some simple logical things, but where most of the interesting stuff happens in external methods. There are a few lines of DTML that actually produce useful output, but I am getting a TON of whitespace before my interesting output that I need to surpress. Thanks for any replies, Bryan

look at context.aq_explicit. I had a similar problem a short while ago, got help on this list. So you could search for emails in this list with keyword 'aq_explicit'.
