ZCatalog: Editing Metadata Key Values....

I am in the process of moving a CMFCollectorNG instance from one Plone portal to another. While copying the CollectorNG folder and re-indexing the catalog gets things running, there is a problem with the catalog. It seems that the Issue data is stored as Metadata key/value pairs. During the re-index, that information is lost. I am assuming that the it is placed there via a form submission. But for the life of me I can't figure out how. I have managed to query the information from the old collector catalog....now I just need to know how set those values in the new catalog. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful... Charlie Jones

Moving items from 2.6.1 to 2.5.1 ??

Hey folks, We've got a production machine running Zope 2.5.1 and one of our developers has a machine running Zope 2.6.1. Will we have any sort of problems moving (exporting then importing) folders, dtml-methods, dtml-documents, and python scripts from the newer version to the older version? Thanks, Ted

File Retrieval

Hello List, I am new to this list and to zope. My company has a client who just requested that we move their site and make some additions to it. I was handed this project the only problem is their site runs on zope. I don't know zope or python. This isn't a big deal learning languages and platforms can be done easily enough. However, their we cannot ftp into the server that is currently holding their files. This means that everything will need to be rewritten from the ground up, unless zope has some functionality that will allow us to grab their site's back end. Can this be done and if so how? J. I can't use some products with Zope 2.6.1

I am unable to use some products with Zope 2.6.1 on Windows XP, notably TinyTablePlus andSQLSession. I can nonetheless use other products such as Formulator and the CMF Products: is this a problem that others have? Is there a solution? Invalid Date-Time String

Hi, I've written : <form ...> <input name="created:date" size="20" value="1971/01/01"> </form> Under my web page I'm able to change the value of my input tag (it's doing for it...) Well, but if I clean the field of my input I've this error : "Invalid Date-Time String" This is due to the filtered "created:date". So How to avoid a such problem and not raise a Zope error? 2.3.2 - external method re module

Hi, I have to change all stx links in a dtml doc to html which is not done for any reason. It's an old zope (2.3.2) :( python is 1.5.2 I tried with string.find, but i get a "string object has no atribute 'find'" error. So i guesses i have to use an External Method where i can use re. In this method i do a re.findall for the stx link, i tried with several expressions, and one i need to use does not work which seems quite strange to me. I tried to track this down to the simplest parts, but up to now unsuccessfully so i need your help, please. BTW in cli mode everything is fine if i start the same script with python1.5 Apparently it's a fault of the '"' character, the double quotes. Here are the most simple pattern i tried, the double quotes quoted with \ and not, in triple quotes and not etc. Everytime i add the double quotes, my pattern fails. And my text definetly has several stx links in it!! pattern = r'"\S+' pattern = r'''"\S+''' pattern = r'''\"\S+''' Everything without d.quotes is ok, i.e. urlchars = r'[A-Za-z0-9/:@_%~#=&\.\-\?\+\$,]+' urlendchar = r'[A-Za-z0-9/]' url = r'["=]?((about|gopher|http|https|ftp|mailto|file):%s' % urlendchar this is the pattern i need: link = r'(".+?"):%s' % (url) which works fine on the cli. plone styles in my zpt macros file

hi, i have installed plone in my linux box which installed zope. now i have a folder abc in root (/abc). i have a ZPT macros file in abc starting with the first line as: --div metal:define-macro="my_macro1"-- now i want to call plone's header & footer files written in dtml. these files are stored in the /portal_skins/plone_templates . how do i call them in my ZPT macros file? i had used --div tal:content="structure here/standard_html_header"-- to call the header.it actually calls the header, but gives style sheet errors in the page like "document.all.content.style is not null or an object". More over it doesn't display any of the content present in the ZPT macros file. But in the same way another dtml method in the same directoy called check_status does the same job. ie calls the same header file using the following statement "--dtml-var standard_html_header--". It works perfeclty here. what is the problem? why doesn't it work in the ZPT file? Credit card authorization with zope

Anyone have experinece using any of the big credit card authorization sites with zope? I've been looking at authorize.net and they seem good, but I wanted to check with the list and see if there were any suggestions and/or horror stories.
