How to return two images by one procedure

Hello, I worte an external procedure which returns an image. Now I want to add an additional image showing a legend to exactly this dynamically created image. Unfortunately I have no idea how I can make sure that this legend is connected to the image created in the external procedure. Any idea how to solve this? Andreas.

copy support of my class broken

Hi, I've created a class which inherits from CatalogPathAware and Folder. When I try to copy and then paste objects of this class in the cms an Unauthorized Error is raised. Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: 20030624142142 -- The object is marked as private. Access to None of (Berichtverwaltung instance at 8b01610), acquired through None, denied. Zope and Open Office

We made a web-based inventory application. We generated reports to MS Excel using Javascript. But we are planning to use Open Office. How do we generate reports to Open Office? Thanks. -mico-

Portal/Portlets Integration and SSL

I have built a portal using Jetspeed. It is configured on a Linux platform with Apache, Tomcat running behind the Apache and ZServer for the Zope. The Apache has been configured to be secure, has its own CA with the mod_jk connector between Apache and Tomcat. The portal of course has portlets of various web services and applications. A few portlets support the presentation of content coming from Zope. We do this using an IFrame portlet with a short piece of Java code on the server side to service the portlet. So, when the portlet comes up, it might contain a couple of hyper-links for the user to click on that will display a document within the portlet frame. Thus, the embedded links for the portlet will have a http://www.xyz.net:8000/... pointing to the location of the document. This all works fine, however now I have 1 or 2 documents that are confidential and must be handled via https://... for a particular portlet. I have been experimenting without much success. The browser of course will indicate that not all components on the page are secure because of the fact that the embedded links in the page have http in them. As soon as I make the change to the https protocol, the links will not resolve. Do I have to somehow make the ZServer also SSL compliant in some manner in order for it to figure out what https means. Now, I'd done something different with this proxying: I'd pointed two URLs to the same SiteRoot, so I ripped one of them out of my httpd.conf file, rebooted Apache, reinstalled SiteRoot, and STILL it doesn't work. But it works fine with any other URL. What gives? In other words, why does it throw errors for some users and not for others? beno

Hi Joel (and zope list), a long time ago, you posted this message to the zope list. You didn't appear to get an answer, but I was wondering if you figured out the answer yourself. I assume you 'can affect this for FTP access' by over-riding the manage_FTPlist() method. Is that right? Maybe I should add that the reason I'm trying to do this is so that I can make object properties editable through webdav (and FTP I suppose). I envisage providing each property as an extra 'file' in the directory listing, probably prepending (if that's a word) some characters to the property id to signify that it is actually a property. Is this a mugs game? Is there a better way? cheers, tim

building product from the doc

Hello happy Zopers, I'm currently trying to build a small & simple product, following (closely) advice from http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Books/ZDG/current/Products.stx The doc is clear and well done, but now I'm stuck on this : when I try to add some 'Candidat' (the meta_type of the product), I get from the ZMI a Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: TypeError Error Value: addForm() takes no arguments (1 given) etc... In the doc example, addForm is really defined with no argument, and I still don't see what knid of arg that ought to be. I'm still investigating. Grepping around current existing products doesn't help much since no installed product shows this very pattern (of an addForm function defined as in the zope doc). installation of zope 2.6.

I have the following problems: I have installed Zope 2.6 which is on Linux Suse 8.2 with the installation tool of Linux. With python zpasswd.py inituser I have set users (this was done when I was logged in as root). When I give in the browser: http://localhost:8080/manage I get the login page for Zope, but when I login the it outputs the failure that I have no authorisation (when I was logged as user who I have created before). Can you help me, please? wbr Ali
