ZPT/ZSQL optional where problems

Hi I have a form that i wish to do the following: 1.submit to itself (no probs here) 2.allow multiple optional criteria in form 3. render results(no probs here) It doesnt seem to work and just returns all cats and dogs instead of doing the correct filters. Below is the form and sql method..i cant see whats wrong. multiple mounted storages served by ZEO?

I looked at the DBTab Product. It meets a lot of needs of separating databases to, for example, individual users. I'm not quite clear if it can do what I need though. DBTab lets you mounts multiple storages, including those served from a ZEO server. What I would like to be able to do, is to have a single ZEO server serve up the objects. That way if I have multiple ZEO clients, I don't have each one mounting all of the databases. Would this be at all possible? At the moment I have a single server, but I am running Zope in a ZEO configuration. As clients sign on, I want to be able to put their Data.fs file where I can keep track of quotas. I would potentially have other ZEO clients, but I don't want to run a ZEO server instance for each ZODB I want to mount on multiple ZEO clients on multiple physical servers. Maybe what I'm asking is insane. :-) Please let me know your thoughts. -Chris

Upload files and TimeStamp format

I've posted my problem in Italian Forum and had no answer. I'm newbie in zope and python, and I made a form for uploading files into Zope folders. The problem is that the name of the folder in which uploading the file, is in a variable called "nomecartella" and is like "Intranet.Bandi.bando18". The code I used is: <dtml-call "_[nomecartella].manage_addFile(nomefile, file, titolofile)"> where nomecartella is the variable that contains the path of the folder that I want contains the uploaded file; nomefile is the id of the file I want upload; titolofile is the name of the file. But I get an error: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: Intranet.Bandi.bando18 If I replace _[nomecartella] with Intranet.Bandi.bando18 it works !!!! Any ideas? Another question: I've a set of records in a MySQL DB having a TimeStamp field. I made a SQL method for retrieving all the records between two dates typed in by the user ( in format %d/%m/%Y). I used this code: select ... from ... where ... and "_.DateTime(time) >= <dtml-var "ZopeTime(p_dal + _.str(' 00:00:00.000 GMT+2'))"> and "_.DateTime(time) <= <dtml-var "ZopeTime(p_al + _.str(' 23:59:59.000 GMT+2'))"> where time is the TimeStamp field into the DB; p_dal and p_al are the two dates that make my range. I get this error: Error Type: ProgrammingError Error Value: (1064, "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '_.DateTime(time) <= 2003/07/21 23:59:59 GMT+2 LIMIT 1000' at li") What to do?

Handling objects versions

Hi, I'm currently using Zope (2.6.1) to drive out intranet site with the help of several custom products I've written. I'd like to be able to handle versions for instances of several custom classes (like documents or articles), and I'm looking for existing products, how-tos or classes which may help me in that task. Also, for your information : - I'd don't use CMF or CPS or Plone ! - versions creation is a manual operation, not linked with existing Version product or history management (which is lost after packing) - older versions don't have to be updatable - versions handling should be available for simple items as well as object managers (Folder, OrderedFolder...) or BTree managers (BTreeManager2...) - of course, access to old versions have to be easy, throught a simple URL... Zope on AMD64

Has anyone had any luck with Zope on AMD/64? I tried to do the source build (Python, ZOPE source) on Mandrake 9.0/X86_64, and usually end up with messages of the Zserver having a SEGDEV fault (error 200) on startup, and it just loops through trying to restart the service. I'm assuming there is a compiler problem here somewhere. Python appears to be ok. Mandrake comes with Python 2.2, but I did a separate source compile with 2.1.3. The i386/Linux install works fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. After retrying many times it seems like a good solution would be to have all of these items in the collective available outside the CVS on download pages of CMF and Plone so that people can not only get to them, but know they exist.
