This problem sounds very similar to the one I posted a couple of days ago with the subject line "[Zope] Running ExternalMethods using ZopeTestCase". I am trying to run my external methods through a script but no matter what I do to the Software and Instance home they keep losing their value, and so the external methods cant be found, and I am also very frustrated by it. Does anyone have any idea of a workaround for this? Can someone explain how the External Methods module interacts with the Instance and Software Home environment variables? dtml question

Greetings, I have a folder, containing dtml method1 (dm1), python script (ps) and dtml method 2 (dm2). - dtml method1 contains a form, which calls ps. arguments of ps are the information collected in the text inputs of dm1. Works fine. - ps processes the argument and depending on the values, does nothing or calls dm2, with the statement: return context.dm2(name_value=name) - Hence if I use <dtml-var name_value> in dm2, I expect it to have the value: name, and it does. I tried to use other dtml variables, which are defined in the same folder, however in dm2, and they were all undefined. This puzzled me. After reading the Zope book, my interpretation of events is that a dtml method typically is called inside other dtml methods and then operates on the folder, from which it is called. That is not the case here. It now operates on something else: the Python script, or the return value of the Python script. My first question is: Is this correct, is this why dm2 fails to recognize other dtml variables, defined in the same folder ? dtml-in statement with mysql

I have a small question. I have a couple of sql methods defined and depending on the search method I want to excute a specific one and return the results. I want to do something like this <dtml-if expr="search_method == '1'"> <dtml-in sql_1> <dtml-elif expr="search_method == '2'"> <dtml-in sql_2> </dtml-if> ... the rest of the the results the problem I have is that zope doesn't like me using dtml-in statements inside the if statements unless I copy the whole results page into the if statement. What I want to do is depending on what the search_method variable is I want to call a specific sql method without having to put all the code in each if statement. is there anyway to accomplish this. hope I have been clear enough. thanks in advance, --STEVE

I'm not sure if this would work, but you could try a <dtml-call> method like: <dtml-if expr="search_method == '1'"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('sql', sql_1)"> <dtml-elif> ... Then iterate over your results with: <dtml-in sql> do stuff here </dtml-in> Or use a python script as your logic, which is probably a better choice and easier to boot. Then have the script return the results of the ZSQL method. Plone is neglecting my styles

Hi all, In working with Plone, I'm currently in the throes of creating the template for a portal. The default skin in Plone has a white body, but my ploneCustom.css specifically sets it to grey. But when I view the page rendered by Plone, the background is stil white. ? But wait, there's more - some of the other styles get applied, but not all. Does Plone's stylesheets have the css equivalent of 'reserved words' or what? -- mitchy

Hi, When executing the following script with parameters user1 and password1 I receive a error message. import kinterbasdb,sys con = kinterbasdb.connect( dsn='test.gdb', user='sysdba', password='masterkey' ) # Get a Cursor object that operates in the context of Connection con: cur = con.cursor() # Execute the SELECT statement: str_sql = "insert into users values (" + sys.argv[0] + ", "+ sys.argv[1] + ",)" cur.execute(str_sql) # Retrieve all rows as a sequence and print that sequence: print cur.fetchall() It seems to be to SQL string but I am not sure. Hello, We want to use RedG-analize-1.0 in order to porduce a report of Zope logs wich can be readable with webalizer In the how to, we don't understand the following section : ================================ 3. Add "File" object somewhere in ZMI. Content Type: text/plain Format of the file entries (lines): NAME VIRTUAL_HOST So for example if statistics for web site: www.zope.org should go to subfolder 'zope' please add the line: zope zope.org Please note that there are no prefix 'www'. This way all requests to zope.org will be logged. Multiple entries for same NAME allowed. It is also very recommended to 'secure' this file contents to anonymous users. When editing file in ZMI please press "Security" tab and change "View" permission as following: [ ] Acquire permission settings [ ] Anonymous [ ] Authenticated [x] Manager [x] Owner ======================================== What is this file? it is the log file ?
