hello, for method 2, can you provide more specific code snippets wrt to the meta thingy? i have a form (upload.html ) which will call a dtml-method ( uploadHandler ) consisting of external methods ( python ). urgent: problem with dynamic pdf

hi, For an insurance company, I've created PDF forms of their various insurance applications. These will be available on their website (when it is done). Each form, being in PDF, looks exactly like the printed version of the application. The idea is that a user fills it out online, hits the (visible but unprintable) "Submit" button at the bottom of the form, and the entire completed PDF is sent to the company. That way they can print it out, and carry on with their current paper filing system. I experimented with using a "mailto:..." URL for the Submit button, but that requires an external mail program. It also gives the attached PDF a random temp filename. Therefore, I'd like to send the PDF to a python script, change the name, and email it to the company from there. I played with it a bit, and I can reach the destination script, but I have no idea what happens to the PDF. I expected it to show up in file, but nothing. i supose it's possible to access the data in the REQUEST object and redirect it into file but how? Can anyone tell me what to do from here? That does help with some of the other things I've been working on but it doesn't help here. The problem is that the entire table still scrolls causing my column headings to scroll off the top. The only way that I can see to keep this from happening is to split the headings into a separate table but since the column widths are determined by the data in the table, the column headings won't match up. I'll explore Dylan's suggestion but the complexity means I'll have to save it for later. It feels like I'm reinventing the wheel here. This seems like it should be a common problem that something in HTML should be able to deal with automatically. Oh well. I guess you need to deal with what is not what should be. Adding a new binding for Python Scripts

Hi everybody and a good new ZYear ;-), I need to add some textual info (docstring) to all Python Scripts. I see three possible solutions for that: 1. Patching Python Script Product to add one more property additional to the title property 2. Patching Python Script Product to add one more binding varable 3. Adding a special variable declaration and parsing the body of the script to retrieve the text. The body of scrips is parsed for syntax errors, but is it possible to get the values of variables without calling the script? Has anybody done something like this before or can give some ideas, hints etc.? -- Thanks for your help, SK

Range Function of dtml-in tag

Hello. I have a variable that I pass as a hidden parameter from a dtml document to a dtml method(this variable is a counter and is passed to the dtml method when a form(the dtml document) is submiited). I would like to use the value of this variable as the Endvalue of the range method that is used with the dtml-in tag. I have tried both of the following but they don't work and give the error listed below: <dtml-in "_.range(Request.form['counter'])"> <dtml-in "_.range(Request.get('counter'))"> Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'Request' is not defined The variable is being passed correctly and I have confirmed this by using the following: <dtml-var "REQUEST.form['counter']"> Any help would be greatly appreciated. Scrolling Tables

I've been working on a financial reporting web site and thanks to the help of all the list members, it's coming along nicely. I was actually able to show the controller a prototype project that gives him access to his Income Statement for all organization levels in the company. Of course the first thing he asked was "Can you lock the header on the page so it doesn't scroll off the top?". Well, I don't know if that's even possible. I could do it using frames if I set the size of the table columns myself. That's not an optimal solution however. Having the columns auto-size is a pretty nice feature. Especially when you're dealing with so many different screen resolutions and font sizes. Not to mention different browsers. Does anyone know of a plug in that will allow table data to be displayed and scrolled but will still automatically size the columns and work with Zope? Joe Goldthwaite Property of Bar-S Foods. Epoz in "Zope CMF" site?

Well, I haven't gotten any responses yet from my previous posts, so I ask a simple question. Has anyone tried to use Epoz in a vanilla CMF site? If so, are there any instructions out there? I'm trying to modify the "portal_skins" for "document_edit_form" and I'm having some success, but not much. Thanks, Derek Wilson

one letter word search failed with TextIndexNG

Hi, We are using, plone 2 with TextIndexNG 2.0.4. We get the following error when searching on 'a' or 'b' or 'c' . Error Type IndexError Error Value list index out of range Also we get a parser error if we enter a blank in the search field. Is this a bug of TextIndexNG2 ? Thanks, -- Jean
