Thank you all for your help so far. I just tried viewing the flash (with the view tab) and the same thing happens!! I then uploaded a test flash (just some boxes) and it works!!! I downloaded the flash that didn't work and it now does the same thing playing from my machine. I uploaded the working copy again and it happened again!! What is going on??? Every time I upload it, it seems to corrupt the flash file somehow making it unusable. But the test flash still works! HTTPCache associations disappear

Hi there , I am trying to use the HTTPCache manager for Images and CSS files : Each i stop/start zope server i ost all objects associations with my cache manager ! Anybody saw already such behaviour ? I am running Zope 2.6.2 +CMF 1.4.2+Plone 2.0Rc2 Thanks in advance. Seb

Actually the question was targeted at anyone in the Zope community that also uses the Zeus web server. I am not 100% convinced that I am thinking about the solution to this correctly. Forgive me if I misunderstand, but isn't this really a Zeus (and not Zope) question? eg: How the heck does Zeus store its users, and how can I get it to use an external relational datbase? Zope & Zeus Authentication

We are running Zeus as the webserver and using Zope extensively. Everything works wonderfully except for one major thing. In order to password protect a directory we have to setup the users and groups in Zeus and therefore we are unable to use things like SimpleUserFolder with some python/zsql scripts to auth users for a specific website's members folder. We have a PostgreSQL DB setup with a table called users. In that table are various columns (username, password, etc.). We have a folder in the site called members and we need to make sure that no one can access anything inside the members folder without first authenticating through a page that contains a login form (type in username and password, click the submit button, the system auth's from data within the db and either lets the user in or return a page that says sorry the login and password don't match, etc.). How do I accomplish this? Zeus seems to allow either explicitly defining the users/groups from within the Zeus management interface OR allows you to use an LDAP server. problem deleting

I have a script I'm using for configuration which uses Client.py. It moves a file to the import directory, uses Client to perform the import, then uses Client to invoke a python script to select portions of the imported object and move them from the imported object to other places in the system. The script then deletes the imported object (and repeats the process agein with another file). The delete does not happen when run through the web--and it fails silently. I see the problem as a duplication of id's when I try to import the next file (which has the same name) and it fails on a duplicate id. Any thoughts as to what's happening and how to work around it?

Error on simultaneous updates/requests

I am working on an order entry system, and am getting a frequent error when multiple users are accessing the system. The error occurs most frequently when one user posts data which updates one or more folderish objects, and another user wants to get data at the same time as (or shortly after) the update. In most (all?) cases this is not the data that has been changed, or even data within the object that has been changed, but is data that must be found by acquisition, passing up a tree through one or more of the folderish objects that are being updated. The error message is "The object at XXX has an empty or missing docstring. Objects must have a docstring to be published", but has no obvious connection to a missing docstring - if the request is attempted again a few moments later, it works fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on the possible cause of this problem and/or how to solve it?
