Can you use frames or iframes in zope page templates? I tried doing something like this but it does spit out anything and I can't find anything useful through google. <frameset row="50%, 50%"> <frame name="A" src="PassForm">  </frameset> Do I have to use dtml? Thanks.

Adding new forms/ modifying the User Management

Hi All, I need to develop an Employee directory module for use in Plone, Zope. So, could i modify the user's registration module to accomodate the new fields needed for the same. Could someone please give me the appropriate links to refer for or else throgh some light on the steps of how could I proceed. Thanks in advance Michael

Form Variable

I have a form variable whose value is being passed to a DTML method upon form submission. In this DTML method, I use the form variable as input to a <dtml-in>. When this form variable is passed as a list(i.e. it contains multiple values), everything works fine. However, when this form variable is passed as a string(i.e. it contains a single value), <dtml-in> complains that it is being passed an input of the wrong type. Is there a way to detect whether this form variable is a list or string? Using the len function doesn't work because len works on both strings and lists. One solution I have figured out uses a HTML hidden variable to set the form variable to a default value. This guarantees that the form variable is always a list since a minimum of 2 values are passed upon form submission. However, this is a hack and I'd rather use something more elegant. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad

nonroot user running zope on 80

On a linux box, what is the right way to allow a non-privileged user (eg "zope") to run a zope server on port 80. I can run on 8080 just fine, but don't have access to the lower numbered ports. Interestingly, when I try 'bin/runzope' as root (port 80 or 8080), I get a segmentation fault, even though I can run on 80 as user zope. ZCTextIndex question

I have a ZCatalog that has grown to about 6.3Gb in size and as a result no longer fits in memory - resulting in a severe degradation in performance (a search that used to take less than 2 cpu seconds, now takes 5-14 cpu seconds). Is there any way to 'extract' a single index from the ZCatalog (a ZCTextIndex) and hold it in memory to improve search retrieval performance ? Also, because we are using the OkapiIndex relevance ranking process, we will need to hold the Lexicon in memory. Has anyone tried/accomplished this? Hoping there is a solution... Jonathan

I have a form that submits information to a dtml method. The dtml method calls a python script: <dtml-call password> The python script returns a variable: return(msg) How do I display that variable, msg, in my zpt? Thanks.

SOS - Unidentified zope error - Why ?

Hi ! I open my zope webpage in another winXP machine, with IE. Before that "event" I don't see anything else, that compares to this error ! SQL for PluggableUserFolder

Zope: Does anyone have a pluggin for PluggableUserFolder to do SQL authentication? I don't know if I should bother writing one, or just pump users into my LDAP server and auth from that. I do know I would like to use my own custom forms. Jason.
