proxied python script can't call proxied python script

I have two Python Scripts, which we will call 'A' and 'B'. To each I have applied the 'Manager' proxy role. Zope's security machinery will not allow me to call 'A' via 'B'. It gives me the infamous "You are not allowed to access 'A' in this context" message. 'A' works fine by itself. Is there any way around this? Return data from python

I am new to Zope and Python. I want to be able to return the results of calculations from a python script. The script gathers 3 bits of information from a database using 3 queries. I want to add up the 3 numbers and return to the calling DTML the 4 numbers. What is the best way to do this. Also as a side note... These numbers are dollar amounts. I have not found a way to format them in Python. Can you offer any suggestions. Thanks Gene

Zope hanging when restarting from ZMI

Hello, when I press the restart button on the ZMI of my Zope 2.6.2, Zope doesn't start up anymore. I don't get any error messages in the event log, so I'm pretty clueless whats wrong. Please help! <dtml-in> problem with defined or not defined variable as parameter

Hi, I want to do something like that: <dtml-if id_historie> <dtml-in expr="dbSelect(id_historie=_.str(id_historie))"> <dtml-else> <dtml-in expr="dbSelect(id_historie=_.str(0))"> <dtml-if> [...] </dtml-in> but I get the error " unexpected end tag, for tag </dtml-in>". How can I query my database depending on having id_historie defined or not? Can somebody give me a hint? Thanks, Patrick

Zope needing long time when shutting down under w2k

Hello, when I shut down zope 2.6.2 under w2k with the windows service manager, then PythonService.exe needs very long to quit. In the mean while the windows service manager times out and raises an error. How can I find out whats wrong? OK - FWIW, this is a Zope *and* Plone installation. I've boned up on problems others are having with Zope/Plone, and their install issues seem /not/ to be due to this problem. However, I have found others using Python's Windows service extensions having the same issue. Help on listing members and last login

How can I create a list of all members and when they last logged in? What I'd ideally have would be a plone page (resticted to admin only) listing all users, their email and last login. Something similar to the member search feature, but instead of a less interesting photo (default), the follpwing: - Member name - Member email - Member last logged in Not ideally, but the following would do: A separate logfile with all login events. - TImestamp - Member ID - email Any help apreciated.

Zope 2.7.2 Service support under WinNT 4.0

Hi All, Am having trouble getting service support under Windows NT 4.0. I've asked about this before, and have had no real response (others have evidently had issues, but not the /same/ issue). The error I am getting is: - "The procedure entry point RegisterServiceCtrlHandlerExW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll" Can anyone get me started on fixing this?
