ZInformixDA on Zope2.7.3 problem

Hi ! I'm trying to install ZInformixDA on Zope2.7.3, but it needs a package named informixdb-1.3, and when I execute ./configure it returns a mistake I have python2.3 installed, but I've seen that this package works with python1.5 It's possible that it is an obsolete package? I want to connect Zope2.7.3 under a Knoppix3.7 to a Informix Database with the informix database adapter, and I have this tar.gz: ZInformixDA-0.2.tar.gz.tgz and informixdb-1.3.tar.gz Can you help me? BTreeFolder2 problem

I have a lot of objects in a BTreeFolder2 instance. When I select any object and click on edit, I get an error message that says "Attribute error: __call__". This was not happening just a few weeks ago. Could this indicate that the BTreeFolder2 instance is damaged or could it be that the BTreeFolder2 product is damaged? Any thoughts? Thanks.

None Object and None String

I have a Zope session variable that is set to None. When I update my MySQL database and set the value of one of my fields to the value of this session variable, the value is set to the string 'None'. Anyone encountered a similar problem? I would think that the None object would translate to the NULL database constant and not the string with value 'None'. Any help would be appreciated. Zope or Python blocking on select()

Hello, Running Zwiki 0.36 on Zope 2.7.4-0 on Python 2.4, glibc-2.3.4-3, kernel 2.4.22-nptl (fedora core 1). Whenever we hit a ZWiki page, there is a delay of 8 seconds before the first page is sent. Subsequent objects for that request are sent in reasonable (i.e. sub-second) times. Every individual page request seems to cause this delay. I have tried all 3 ways of setting the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL variable, tried recompiling Python using the '--with-lib=' option for the different thread libraries, tried Python 2.3.3, and all this still gives the same result - a nasty 8 seconds delay. Has anyone else run into a delay like this? Is anyone using a similar kernel/Python/Zope combination successfully? I have pasted a brief excerpt from strace of my Python process, any advice on what may be happening would be welcome. Several suggestions have been made for how to check that zope is running. There was some discussion of what pattern to look for. Generally, the "ps" method can be adjusted to your system by doing a plain "ps ax", looking for the line that seems to be the zope process, and then using a grep for that pattern. e.g. ps ax found ZoPe-foo then use ps ax | grep ZoPe-foo This (and the other method proposed) still have the disadvantage that it cannot detect a hung zope process, of course. To do that from the command line, create an very simple page containing the string "all-is-alll" (for example) with a URL like http://127.0.0.1/i_am_alive and then from the command line use something like lynx -dump http://127.0.0.1/i_am_alive | grep all-is-well Greg

Can't make an AdvancedQuery with NOT

I just installed AdvancedQuery 0.6 in my Plone site, as it seems to be the only way to do boolean search expressions. Here's the query I'm trying to make: query = Eq('Title','kitchen') & - Eq('Subject','deck') The idea, obviously, is to get all docs with keywords of "kitchen" AND NOT "deck" I'm getting this as an error: AttributeError: Eq instance has no attribute '__neg__' This query works as expected: query = Eq('Subject','kitchen') & Eq('Subject','deck') Installation details: Plone 2.0.5 Zope 2.7.3-0, python 2.3.4, darwin AdvancedQuery 0.6 No IncrementalSearch No ManagableIndex Any ideas?
