Running egg-packaged product tests

Hello, I'm trying to run tests for an egg-packaged product (deployed in development mode), with zope 2.10.1. I'm using the "zopectl test" command, with "--path" set to my product source directory. The problem is that the test runner seems to call the product initialize() function 2 times (one during zope initialization, and one during testrunner initialization), resulting in duplicated profile id declarations... Is there a way to run the tests for an egg-packaged product without setting the --path option to the source dir, in order to prevent this duplication ? Thanks Seb

Zope pretends to receive and send XMLRPC data, but strace sees nothing !

Sorry, it seems I didn't click on the right button :), here is the message sent to the list this time : Thank you Andreas for showing me this nice tool which is tcpflow. Thanks to it, I am now sure that the probleme is coming from zope. Would you take a look at this : root@CAY:~/HTTPCONNECTIONS# tcpflow host 10.75.49.100 and port 8081 tcpflow[20104]: listening on eth0 The tcpflow is run on the 10.75.49.51 machine, the one that zope thinks it sends two times the XMLRPC query. 10.75.49.100 is the server that runs zope. Giving access to error_log.showEntry to non-Manager users

Dear all, I'm trying to give all authenticated users access to the error log of an error that they just encountered. I'm using the error_log_url available in the standard_error_message to direct the user to the appropriate error log. This works fine for users with Manager role, but I cannot make it work for other authenticated users. I modified the error_log access to include 'View', 'View management screens' and 'Log Site Errors', but it doesn't help, unless I give 'View management screens' to Authenticated in the Zope root, which opens up too much. The actual access error is on 'manage_page_header' - I append the error traceback. I've also tried to access the error_log through a DTML with proxy set to Manager, to no avail. Any tips? Hi, I have an ajax application that is composed by : 1) An ajax client which is a web page with a button that calls a zope object's method, say "toutCompter". 2) An ajax server (zope), with a zope object that has the method "toutCompter" (all zope object methods are XMLRPC callable right ?). I use two browsers on two separate machines. I call the methode on the two browsers, and compares the zope trace and strace output of the network activity. The problem is that zope says he sends data but strace don't, and zope says he receives data and again strace don't. pool_size

I am having a problem with zope 2.9.4 occasionally pegging the CPU and thereafter being unusable -- there are some indications in the event log that this is related to "pool_size" being too small. Lacking any other strategy to determine the cause of the problem, I am considering experimenting increasing "pool_size" to see what effect it has. A search returns some inprecise information on how to do this. My understanding is that this can be modified in the zope.conf for the instance. Can anybody give me precise information on modifying this parameter or point me to a concise resource on configuring the zodb in general,
