wrong url in localfs

Hi, When using <td><a href="&dtml-basepath;/<dtml-var id>"><dtml-var id></a></td> the URL is like file:///c:/temp/admin/test.pdf. I try to open the file but without success. What is wrong with the url reference ? Regards, Michael

By jove, you've got it! For the moment, I don't want to touch ZMI code. So I deleted the URL object. (I had previously made a hack for deleting stuff.) thx! After trying to play with some debugging, I got tired of the headaches. So I turned to zLOG, and tried to call it from with DT_Util.py, to find out the value of URL. But I end up getting a "global name 'URL' is not defined" message. Sessions

session = context.REQUEST.SESSION print session session.set ('hello', 'world') print session return printed What am i doing wrong with SESSIONs. When i reload this page the SESSION is empty. Shouldn't the key 'hello' be persistant in the SESSION (for the timeout time anyway)?? Drew

PostgreSQL Databases

Hello, I want to insert data into a PostgreSQL Database over an external Method. My problem is that I don't know how to implement a reasonable exception Handling. I don't know which classes I should use. I did the same thing with ODBC, but there was a special class which has to be used for this error Handling(sql).

As Andreas said, you can install it on another place. Just read the configure script and see which flags you have to set. If I'm not wrong, it's something like: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/myDirectory Then, you have to compile python-ldap using the open ldap that you installed from source (modify setup.cfg) Regards, Josef

Is there somewhere documentation on all the most common zope objects, including what methods they have? Zope Developer's Guide updated version?

Hi, Is there any pdf of an updated version of the Zope Developer's Guide? Ok, maybe not really Zope 100% but still: did anybody successfully used python-ldap with python 2.2 to build a Zope product?
