Catalog problem/only searchable when logged in

I am running ZOPE with the CMF. On the CMF on DEV I have a document that is searchable as anonymous. I synced the file to the QA box and I can see it when anonymous but cannot search for it when anonymous. It will only show in the search results when logged in. I've seen no differences in the security settings between the two instances and no obvious differences in the document. What could be causing this problem. Login fails on all accounts (even init and emergency)

Hi, New user, hope you can help. I've installed zope on a Mandrake 9.0 Linux system. I installed from rpms (Nexedi's, via urpmi). I've tried setting passwords for inituser and for an emergency user via zpasswd (which seemed to go fine). Despite everything, however, when I try to log in to the management interface it gives me a login window, which just won't go away. No matter what username or password I enter, it immediately just responds with a new login window (and hitting cancel simply gives me a "you are not authorized to access this resource" error. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? Anything you can tell me greatly appreciated, Marek

You could perhaps download the source and install it in your > python path (I don't know if this works because I use linux) I just saw another detail in the page you mentioned: http://www.zope.org/Members/barryp/win32_ldap The author says: "*** Sorry, I don't have a Win32 binary for py-ldap 2.0, and don't plan to attempt to compile one ***" and LDAPUserFolder uses python-ldap2.0.0pre1-4 So I guess you will have to use an old version of LDAPUserFolder, which supports python-ldap 1.10a3 for your windows machine, or perhaps there is somebody in the list willing to share a precompiled version for windows, or there is something on the net. Or consider Intermezzo or similar fs if you are using Linux. A network-replicated distributed filesytem mechanism that replicates copies of files to each cluster node would likely work for these purposes, without the need to write any code to glue/map it together (and it would eliminate the NFS latency and single-point-of-failure - which could, in theory, freeze up your Zope instance by tying up each thread if your NFS server goes down). Howdy, I receive this error when I try to add a product from the ZMI. What is "root default view", and where do I get another? Mozilla 1.3 and Zope 2.5.1 manage not working nicely

Folks - Noticing that the manage function with Zope 2.5.1 and Mozilla 1.3 do _not_ work together. I recall that even with earlier builds, Mozilla wants case sensitivity with some aspect of authentication, whereas the RFC doesn't have that restriction - Will upgrading Zope fix this problem? __replaceable__ doesn't make total sense

Hello All, I don't understand why method__replaceable__ should suddenly allow a method to be replaceable? I see Chris that you have asked the question as well, but I still don't get it. 1. Why is there no method.__replaceable__(why the concatenation?) 2. Where is this behaviour documented in Zope. While we are on the topic, I still have not succeeded at doing something very simple. All I want to do is to include the result of a rendered object in another object so that I can produce content somewhere in my zope tree(this content might inherit some other content from higher in the tree) and then include that content in a display somewhere else (in a place where the original content cannot be acquired). file1 <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-var menu> This var is aquired from my parent <dtml-var standard _html_footer> file2 <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-var expr="/path/top/file1/file1.index_html()">This file is not in my acquisition tree and I just rendered its output for your convenience wrapped in a new header and footer! <dtml-var standard _html_footer> At the moment, I get a key-error telling me that file1 cannot find the <dtml-var menu> item so clearly it is not acquiring from its own tree. Zope FTP/Browse utility

Hi, I am building an app that will allow the user to ftp an image to the web server to display through a web page. I looked at addImage but I wish to avoid adding images to the data.fs file. I would like to have them place the image within an "image" folder on the server. I have seen this utility out on the Internet, I was wondering if there is a Zope equivalent. Thanks.
