Where is the current SOAP action in Zope?

Recently Zope Corp. released news about their SGI case, in which Zope was integrated with J2EE through the SOAP protocol. I've been tasked to do a demo of this, which I would gladly post here when it is done. I've been trying to locate current activity for SOAP support in Zope and Python but have found mostly abandoned projects and dead ends. Researching the Zope 3 list I've learned that ZSI (http://pywebsvcs.sourceforge.net/zsi.html) is the most promising SOAP implementation for Python, but ZSI's homepage is unreachable (i've been unable to resolve the ZOLERA.COM domain). So here are my two questions: 1) Which SOAP product/module was used by ZC in the SGI project? (and where can we find it?) 2) If you had to pick one product/module for future SOAP development in Zope, which would you pick? -- Luciano

<dtml-var> namespace resolution monitoring?

Hello everyone, I am currently working with a large DTML script that someone else wrote and I am stuck. I am trying to determine how a certain <dtml-var foo> is being resolved from the namespace. More precisely, I know that it is not acquiring its value from the 'REQUEST' object (i checked). This leaves two possible sources, a <dtml-in> tag that surrounds 'foo' and through acquisition. Hi, all, This is assuredly a quite trivial question, but I haven't found the answer in my looks through the documentation and list archives. I am VERY new to zope (about 20 hours). I am interested in setting up a wiki that may be viewed by all users but edited only by a group of authenticated users, my students. This security policy is very easy to arrange using roles. According to the Zope Book, zope will prompt for authentication when an annonymous user requests a resource for which he is not authorized. Under the security policy I have defined, the default ZWiki footer's edit and comment links only appear when viewed by an authenticated user, so a student who enters the wiki at the FrontPage will never be prompted for login and will not be able to edit the wiki. I realize this may be dealt with by rewriting the ZWiki footer, but I am hoping there is a simple out-of-the-box solution. Perhaps a quick way to add a link to the authentication prompt. I am running zope 2.5.1 with ZWiki 0.9.8 on a Debian Woody (Linux 2.4) machine. Thanks for your help. Streph

Hello, does anyone know how to use the form attribute of the REQUEST object to access parameters passed via a HTML form from a DTML document to a DTML method? newbie: ZSQL Method test screen output

Hi, I'm looking to use a ZSQL Method to grab information from an Access database and output the information as a table. Effectively, the Test view in the ZSQL Method is exactly how I want to output the results. I've had a good look round all the folders in my installation (on win2K machine) and can't see a file called 'manage_testForm' which is presumably what I'm looking for. How do I find the method that's used to create that Test view, so I can use the same format for outputting my query? Any help much appreciated..... Andy

Can anyone else please confirm the odd behavior I'm seeing in 2.6.0? With the following Python script fragment: # Import a standard function, and get the HTML request and response objects. from Products.PythonScripts.standard import html_quote # Sample creation entries_folder=container.entriesid = "ob000" title = "Example's Title" data = "Some good crunchy data here, move along." entries_folder.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addDocument(id, id) entry=getattr(entries_folder, id) entry.manage_edit(html_quote(data), title) The object being created is a DTML Method, *not* a DTML Document. This is really frustrating, as I need this object to have its own properties and namespace. I'm creating around 600 of them and will be adding an interface to create more programmatically, so I need to know how I'm screwing this up if any. Question on Eventfolder

Hi, does anyone work with Eventfolder? I just installed the product and was wondering whether there are more possibilities to change the look but to change the properties tab. or at least to adjust my standard_dtml_header. because my site is structured as a table and the header is a part of a whole table. so whenever i click on the links within the eventfolder calendar everything gets disordered. i would like the links to fit within the page properly, can you help me how? thanks & cheers __________________________________________________________________ Gesendet von Yahoo! The recent Python meeting in my area was productive and interesting and I thought this might be of general enough interest to merit an announcement.
