Bug in sendmail tag?
by Cornelis J. de Brabander 07 Oct '02

Hi all, I'm stuck with the following code. In zope 2.5.1 this code results in an attribute error with error value 'sendall'. In zope 2.4.3 it works. I've noticed there are differences in smtplib.py between the two versions. But the code I use is correct according two the DTML Reference. Is this a bug? <dtml-sendmail mailhost="MailHost"> To: 'brabander(a)fsw.leidenuniv.nl' From: 'brabander(a)fsw.leidenuniv.nl' Subject: 'foo' bar </dtml-sendmail> Traceback (innermost last): File E:\zope\251\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 150, in publish_module File E:\zope\251\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 114, in publish File E:\zope\251\lib\python\Zope\__init__.py, line 159, in zpublisher_exception_hook (Object: mailtest) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 98, in publish File E:\zope\251\lib\python\ZPublisher\mapply.py, line 88, in mapply (Object: Mailer) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 39, in call_object (Object: Mailer) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\OFS\DTMLMethod.py, line 127, in __call__ (Object: Mailer) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\DocumentTemplate\DT_String.py, line 473, in __call__ (Object: Mailer) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\Products\MailHost\SendMailTag.py, line 116, in render (Object: MailHost) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\Products\MailHost\MailHost.py, line 156, in send (Object: MailHost) File E:\zope\251\lib\python\Products\MailHost\MailHost.py, line 201, in _send (Object: MailHost) File E:\zope\251\bin\lib\smtplib.py, line 466, in sendmail File E:\zope\251\bin\lib\smtplib.py, line 316, in ehlo File E:\zope\251\bin\lib\smtplib.py, line 247, in putcmd File E:\zope\251\bin\lib\smtplib.py, line 235, in send File <string>, line 1, in sendall AttributeError: (see above)

Zope and packet loss
by Jaroslav Lukesh 07 Oct '02

Hi all, I use Zope as server (W2k) behind POUND proxy (little old linux RedHat 5.2). When I connect to our website from unreliable line with high packet loss (20%), pages and images served by Zope does not arrive or arrive not complette/broken. But from other servers this does not appears. It displays pages and images correctly. Note that from dialup line Zope serves all content OK. Does have somebody something similar? Regards JL.

[Shifted to zope(a)zope.org] Brian, not sure if it solves any of your problems, but it sounds like I went through something similar to you recently. Hi, I've started to use the ZCGI Product. I have a Zope + CMF + Plone Environment. The output of the CGI-Scripts are displayed on a seperate page. Is there a possibility to integrate (embed) the script-output into my existing Plone site-layout? regards Lars

Checking files to upload
by Juan Manuel Ruiz Garcia 06 Oct '02

06 Oct '02

Hi, I want to check selected files for upload before. My script is this one: ------------------- id=context.REQUEST.form['id'] descr=context.REQUEST.form['desc'] fileToUpload=context.REQUEST.form['file'] context.manage_addFile(id,fileToUpload,descr) ------------------- The point is that, if I enter a non-existing file in the "file" input field in the form that calls this script, this code creates a zero-bytes files, instead of warning me... how can I change this code to detect "file not found error"? Working with Zope 2.3 (Python 1.5) Thanks, _______________________________________________________________ Copa del Mundo de la FIFA 2002 El único lugar de Internet con vídeos de los 64 partidos. ¡Apúntante ya! en http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/fc/es/

Using a Python script inside a dtml-tree
by Pierre Godefroy 06 Oct '02

06 Oct '02

I have the following Python script, which works well (it gives the position of an object in the form of a "nested numbered hierarchy", such as : "3.4.3.2.3") : --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- from string import join res=[] lll=len(context.REQUEST.PARENTS) for i in range(lll-1): xyz=context.REQUEST.PARENTS[i].id a=context.REQUEST.PARENTS[i+1].objectIds().index(xyz) res.append('.'+str(a+1)) res.reverse() fullnumber=join(res) print fullnumber return printed -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BUT, in its present form it only works for the object which is being called directly by the user. I would like to use it also in the framework of a dtml-tree, in order to order to apply ot to each object iterated through the tree and displayed as a menu item : <dtml-tree> <dtml-var my_python_script> </dtml-tree> Of course then, "context.REQUEST.PARENTS" is not good as it applies to the main object being called, not to the successive objects which are being retrieved recursively through the dtml-tree. What should I do? How should I modify the script? Thanking you all in advance, Pierre Pierre Godefroy 52 rue des Archives 75004 PARIS FRANCE Tél. : +33 (0)1 42 74 46 05
