Hi, how could i make a perfect Linkmanagement ? I want to link contentobjects with other objects (like a href). Is there a way to make a linkmanagement? For example: Object with ID has the URLs http://www.staerd.de/bild1.gif http://www.staerd.de/job/bild1.gif ??? or something like ID 234234 = URL "relative URL" /bild1.gif" or "/job/bild1.gif" ?

What are the startup options for ZEO?
by Matt Gregory 21 Mar '02

21 Mar '02

I am trying to get ZEO to load without detaching and without starting the management process. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or at least point me in the right direction? (FYI: I am trying to monitor the ZEO process with the daemontools library) Thanks in advance... -Matt

Addendum on: Why isn't my Python script updating my properties? (code included)
by A M Thomas 21 Mar '02

I wrote: > In its current form (more below on that), the script > doesn't give an error, but neither does it update any of the other > properties. I didn't expand on that. Basically, the manage_changeProperties are being excuted without error, but if I try to do that with the NewMenuSection property, for some reason I do get an error from Zope. For that reason, the NewMenuSection line is commented out in my script, although my e-mailer is wrapping right after the # that comments it out in the code. The pertinent section is below: =========== excerpt from SiteSection_edit_general ============== # ----- NewMenuSection # why is it failing here? # commented out but wrapping - context.manage_changeProperties(NewMenuSection=request['NewMenuSection']) ===================== end excerpt ============================ Many thanks, Am Thomas --- Virtue of the Small http://virtueofthesmall.com

set accessrule
by jbr＠FIZ-Karlsruhe.DE 21 Mar '02

21 Mar '02

Hello, I have difficulties with accessrule. I am using zope 2.5.0 I have a folder named testfolder. For this folder I have set accessrule to the python script accessruleHB, which is in folder testfolder. ----------------------------------------- ## Script (Python) "accessruleHB" ##bind container=container ##bind context=context ##bind namespace= ##bind script=script ##bind subpath=traverse_subpath ##parameters=REQUEST=None ##title= ## # Import a standard function, and get the HTML request and response objects. # from Products.PythonScripts.standard import html_quote session = context.REQUEST.SESSION sessionId=session.get('MySessionId') if sessionId == None: REQUEST.RESPONSE.redirect('/rootfolder') ----------------------------------------- But it seems that this script is not called automatically by set accessrules, because nothing happens. What I want is: If sombody is accessing folder testfolder, accessrule for this folder should call accessruleHB to redirect people (and thus to deny access) if they are not authorized. If I run the script standalone ( by calling it) it redirects to rootfolder. What have I done wrong with setaccessrule ? With kind regards, Juergen Berger

Help! Lost Management interface!
by Kevin Carlson 21 Mar '02

21 Mar '02

Hi, I seem to have lost the ability to get the management interface of Zope to respond (or do anything). The Zope site itself still responds but when I add "/manage" to the base URL and enter a username and password (correctly) the site hangs. Occasionally I get the manage_top_frame to display, but the other two frames don't display at all. I can enter a subarea of the site (e.g. http://localhost/test/manage) and that works fine, but the Root Folders management interface is non responsive. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin

How to use double quotes (") in a string in a python expression in dtml
by Igor Leturia 21 Mar '02

21 Mar '02

Hi all! I want to check in dtml if a string variable contains double quotes ("), so I include a python expression in a dtml-if, something like this: <dtml-if "_.string.find(s,'"')<>-1"> Of course, this doesn't work as the dtml interpreter thinks the " is the end of the python expression. But I tried it with \" also, and it doesn't work. Any ideas? Igor Leturia
