I am attempting to start and monitor ZEO with the daemontools package. The problem is that the Zope (-Z '') flag does not work with ZEO. Can anyone tell me how to get ZEO to run without starting the management process?

DTML-IN only over special documents??

Hi, I've got a question concerning dtml-in. I know that it is possible to loop only over DTML Documents in a folder containing objects of different type. But is it possible to loop only over documents, that id's e.g. start with 'mydoc' ??? Example-folder with the objects: mydoc1 mydoc35 picture567 picture33 mydoc98 So dtml-in shall only loop over 'mydoc1', 'mydoc35', 'mydoc98' How can I do that? TIA Marc

[HELP] How can i limit the size of Upload ?

Hello, I would like to know how can i limit the upload size of certains files in Zope. In fact, my Zope crashes when i upload .HQX files larger than 80 Mo : so i 'd like to limit the upload of these files (from HTTP and FTP) to something like 79 Mo. But only these type of files, not the others. Can someone help me ? Thanks in advance. Fred.

PYTHONPATH

I would like to do some Zope product development outside of the main Zope environment and need to set my PYTHONPATH correctly to pull in all the right modules. I have Zope installed at "/zope" and my path is currently: PYTHONPATH=zope/lib/python:zope/bin/lib: When I attempt to compile the line "from Interface import Base" I get an error that the module does not exist. I am following a tutorial in the zope developers guide... I have also tried importing other modules to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

name error : global name 'day' is not defined

Hi, One of my major problems in using zope now is to store value in a var for future use. I was able to get value for variable 'day' from my table through this: <dtml-in SQLgetDay> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('day', day)"> <dtml-var day> </dtml-in> This actually displayed the value of day with <dtml-var day> on this page. Meanwhile it keeps on giving me the error below each time I reffered to 'day' subseqeuently. Even though I defined cookies for variable 'day' which I called from the standard-html-header of those pages where 'day' is been refferenced. Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'day' is not defined. How to multiply an integer in DTML??

Hi, what I try to do is a short multiplication. For example just multiply a variable with 5. I tried this, but doesn't work: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('var', _.int(var)*5)"> Can someone help me? It is just that short multiplication, so I think it is not neccessary to build a python script. Thanks a lot Marc

URL encoding in a python script?

Is there an equivalent to urllib.urlencode for Python scripts? I tried to import urllib and then use the above, but no luck. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks Etienne

Hi Jurgen and Bruce, Well...I have not solutions, I have only read the changes.txt of 2.5.0: "- WebDAV: The long outstanding read-only problem with WinWord and .html is finally solved. Zope sends now an additional ETag header for DTMLMethods and DTMLDocuments. Many thanks to Joachim Schmitz for this hint." I also have similiar problems with Zope 2.5.0 on WIN NT SP6 and 2K pro (more with office 2k than office Xp):(, but Andreas Jung wrote he could not reproduce my problems, so I think generally there aren't problems with 2.5.0. This his Andreas Jung's answer: "This is somewhat strange because I can not reproduce the problem with Office 2K (Win XP) and the latest Zope 2.5 version. I am pretty sure that this behaviour is again caused by the weird WebDAV implementation of M$. Currently I have no further idea what causes that problem." Ciao, Michele P.S. Hi Bruce, Are you using Zope >= 2.5.0?
