It looks like you are missing the product that the example uses (OpenFlow). Try installing this product as well into Zope. This is just an educated guess, tho, and I'm no OpenFlow expert. perhaps others know more about this specific example demo. -Casey Schmucler wrote: > Casey: > Thanks a lot for the information, but i have the next error > when i import a workflow example WebOrdes.zexp and Demo_english.zexp: > Workflow(This object from the Openflow engine product is broken)Openflow > > 7.0 and i have no a database connection. > How can i fix this error? > Matias > Casey Duncan wrote: > > >>In your zope installation directory (top level). by Rajesh.T 20 Mar '02

20 Mar '02

Hello Everbody, I'm a newbie and looking for some help with user folders,I have created a user folder and some users in it. Now the problem is I'm not able to log into that URL (folder) when i give that username and password. It works fine with root folder though. I have looked into the acquired permission settings and worked on that front and i belive i'm not making a mistake there coz i deselected the view option in root folder and acquiring that permission for all the other folders. Am i missing something here.... Any help would be appreciated Rajesh

Re: [Zope-dev] Impact of additional protocols handled by Zope?

Could this be what I had in mind? I'm thinking more along the lines of a platform versus a product, yet this could be interesting. Do you think there's enough consensus for the community to work together on this one? Or will we have several niche systems instead? I'd prefer that latter, personally. optional authentication
by Bryan C. Andregg 20 Mar '02

20 Mar '02

I would like, in one dtml document, to present different information to authenticated users and non-authenticated users. That's pretty simple. I would like for users who haven't yet authenticated though, be able to follow a link and provide their credentials, returning to the page mentioned above for the authenticated view. That's pretty simple using a document that requires authentication and then redirecting back to the first page. I'm wondering if there is an easier way (say calling a Zope function) to ask for the authentication credentials and return to the same page. -- Bryan C. Developing a general groupware platform in Zope/Python
by Eron Lloyd 20 Mar '02

20 Mar '02

Does anyone think it would be practical/feasible to develop a groupware platform in Zope at this point? I'm thinking very big here, taking it to heights that Worldpilot never mentioned, linking email, workflow, filestorage, newsgroups, project management, contacts, journals, Web presence, jabber messaging, calendaring, and Web service interfaces. Following the development of Zope 3 and component architecture, things are looking very promising. The combination of Python 2.2 and Zope 3 could be a *major* glueing layer between multiple service backends (like IMAP, LDAP, SQL, Jabber, etc.), and something like this could probably be attemptable using that as a toolbox. I'm building some of the components already, such as vCard/iCalendar python libraries, and the possibilities of using Zope to do groupware stuff is very exciting. The type of platform I envision would enable (real-world) community groups to take advantage of all the useful groupware services afforded to companies without having to setup Exchange or Domino. phpGroupWare has the right idea, and I believe that if it can be done in PHP, it can seriously be done in Zope. Should I hold off for a while, and let Zope 3 gel some more, or am I completely off my gourd in attempting this? I've gotten some inspiration from that CrankShaft Zope product from Spoke Technologies. Does anyone know what happened to them, anyways? This is the sort of thing I'd like to emulate, only it would be an open-source platform and target community groups, grassroot activists, and small non-profit agencies. Thanks in advance, Eron --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus]

Hi all! I have started using ZGDChart, and I think it is a great product. But I would like to show the values, above each bar or near each point, and I can't get it anyway. Is there a way or an option to get this? And for displaying a legend of the different data series? Thanks in advance, Igor Leturia
