I tried: <dtml-with wiki> <dtml-var "aq_parent.objectIds()['WikiPage']"> </dtml-with> But I get: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: sequence index must be integer I tried: <dtml-with wiki> <dtml-var WikiPage> </dtml-with> But I get: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: WikiPage I tried: <dtml-with wiki> <dtml-var "WikiPage"> </dtml-with> But I get: Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'WikiPage' is not defined Should this be possible what I am trying to do? ZSQL argument passing
by Bryan C. Andregg 13 Mar '02

13 Mar '02

While iterating over the results of a ZSQL method, which includes a fieldname "userid" I call another ZSQL method like so, passwdGetUser(username=_.SecurityGetUser) passwdGetUser takes two optional arguments "username" and "userid", select * from passwd <dtml-sqlgroup where> <dtml-sqltest userid type=int optional> <dtml-and> <dtml-sqltest username type=nb optional> </dtml-sqlgroup> When called like above, passwdGetUser(username=_.SecurityGetUser) I found that some times this wouldn't return anything. Investigation turned up that since "userid" is set in the outer iteration it gets passed to passwdGetUser even though it's not explicitly in the statement. I solve this problem by calling, passwdGetUser(username=_.SecurityGetUser, userid='') To me, this is non-obvious and I'm wondering why this is happening, and if it's meant to. -- Bryan C. RE: [Zope] search for a zope product
by sean.upton＠uniontrib.com 13 Mar '02

How elaborate of a product do you want? I would suggest immediately looking at the CMF (http://cmf.zope.org) as a starting point...speaking as an implementer for content-management at a large newspaper web site, I would hardly think (from my perspective) that a turnkey product exists for this problem domain. The CMF is as close as you will get, since it has built-in support for managing simple news items and other content with metadata that guides how/when/where it appears on the site... Netscape/RTF problem
by John Lawson 13 Mar '02

13 Mar '02

I am currently experiencing problems using Zope to publish RTF files in a mixed browser environment (Netscape and IE). Netscape uploads RTF files with a mime type of "application/rtf", Internet Explorer uploads RTF files with a mime type of "text/richtext". The Netscape browser does not appear to handle RTF files uploaded using Internet Explorer correctly - the raw RTF data is displayed in the browser window. Netscape does correctly handle RTF documents with mime type=application/rtf, however. Internet Explorer works correctly with both mime types. Has anybody else come across this problem?

User Password Encryption
by HoYin Au 13 Mar '02

13 Mar '02

I'm wondering if anyone's had trouble encrypting their standard user folder passwords? I did it on my test machine; after the passwords were encrypted I couldn't get into Zope via any methods (Web, FTP, WebDAV). - all the user passwords appear to have been reset... result pages question
by Alexander Batzios 13 Mar '02

13 Mar '02

Hello. I'm developing a search engine with Zope. It queries a database based on a search form and displays the results (records). I have it working and all but I would like to split the results into pages of say 10 results per page. Is this possible through Zope? I haven't found anything in the docs. But then again, I am new to Zope so maybe I didn't look in the right place. So that's my question basically. If such a thing is possible with Zope and if yes, how. Thank you, Alex

Your best bet is to ask this question on the zope(a)zope.org list, instead of individuals like me. I Cc-ed the list on this reply for this purpose. I am looking for a true XLS to ZODB type solution...(python) without asking users to resave their XLS spreadsheets into CSV(comma delimited) files for Zope to parse. TIA, -Trevor
