Ok I have one more question... When setting up a wrapper, the example I'm looking at uses: <dtml-var "_[page_body]" fmt=structured-text> How would this be coded in a ZPT format?

search term in results page

possibly simple, but I don't know how (without using javascript): is there a way to insert the search term, which had been entered in the search form, on top of the results page (like: "you searched for 'search term'; x results have been found") via dtml? thanks for any hint lambert

getPhysicalRoot and <Special Object Used to Force Acquisition>

Hi Inside a Python product, I tried to access another object this way: self.restrictedTraverse('/Folder/Object') This worked fine until this evening, when I got an error 'Object not callable' The error was on Traversable.py, function unrestrictedTraverse, line 166 (Zope 2.4.3 (binary release, python 2.1, win32-x86), python 2.1.0, win32) self=self.getPhysicalRoot() When I printed type(self.getPhysicalRoot), I got: <Special Object Used to Force Acquisition>' (what's that???) This was for a while, I tried several ways to circumvent this problem, and I was happy when I found something that worked fine. But when I tried the original code again to post here, it worked fine (as usual!) and now type(self.getPhysicalRoot)=type <'Python Method'> (as should be, I guess) I swear I didnt change anything but a few lines on my product!!! Nor even restarted Zope, just refreshed my product. And it's my own local install, so nobody else was working at the same server. So I don't understand why it began to fail, and why it suddenly was working OK again... Gabriel Genellina Softlab SRL

I have the answer!! The problem with my NFGnav session (which I think should be documented) is that the Root Folder security settings didn't have Anonymous allowed to "Reference in NFGnav". The NFGnav doesn't work even from the default /Navigation directory. I've tried adding VHM, SiteRoot, and explicitly calling it.. no luck. I can open the page through Zope, and it looks great. I then put the full path to the file in the URL, and it looks great. I COPY the URL, kill the browser, open a new browser and PASTE.. no luck. The NFGnav data doesn't show. Any ideas why this is happening? Zope Extensions Folder

Is there a way to change the way Zope searches for the 'Extensions' folder according to the user ID? - ie/ Is there a way to change this default setting so that it is a sub-directory? I want to use external methods in a module not located in the Extensions folder. Thanks :)

All I was trying to get at was that maybe we were f'ing up the build some how and was HOPING there would be a way to rely on the experts for that step. I was just trying to get some details about the Zope binary distribution, which I must've been a complete idiot about. Please forgive me. This kind of crap doesn't belong on a mail list, but since you want to incite a flame on it, I'll be more than happy to oblige. You got a beef with me, then email me directly and spare the rest of us with this waste of bandwidth. Is it my fault that Zope people are overly sensitive right now? Am I spreading misinformation? Anybody familiar with the <built-in> tag?

After creating a ZSearch interface for two ZSQL methods, I've realized that the input form created by ZSearch contains something like follows: [we are within a form...] <tr><th><built-in function id>/first name</th> <td><input name="<built-in function id>/first_name" width=30 value=""></td></tr> <tr><th><built-in function id>/last name</th> <td><input name="<built-in function id>/last_name" width=30 value=""></td></tr> I am very curious what effect the <built in function id> tag has. I guess, it is substituted by the id of the ZSQL method the form is currently querying (keep in mind that the ZSearch made this one form for two ZSQL methods). However I am not sure that my tips are good, if anyone has ever worked with <built-in> tag, please tell me/us how to handle it. Thx in advance, e-M
