Z SQL Method Problem...

Hi! I'm dealing with a very odd problem and I was hopping that someone among this list could please enlighten me on this matter. Somewhere within a DTML method I have to call a Z SQL Method that basically updates an attribute of a specific record on a table (as described below): UPDATE Table1 SET attrib1 = <dtml-sqlvar attrib1 type="string"> WHERE table_id = <dtml-sqlvar table_id type="int"> Whenever I test this SQL Method setting attrib1 with a string containing extended characters (õ, â, í, etc.), I get the following error: Error, sql.error: ('S1000', -802, '[INTERSOLV][ODBC InterBase driver] [InterBase]arithmetic exception, numeric overflow, or string truncation, Cannot transliterate character between character sets') I thought the problem would lie somewhere in the query or in some database definition or property, but when I tested the exact same query with the same input parameters in IB Expert (Interbase Client Tool) everything worked out well. I'm working with an Interbase DB with a common Z ODBC Database Connection. Can someone give me a hint in how to solve this problem? thanks in advance, Vitor Varalonga

My current setup with Zope is that I have the content I need to access in /paws/shop so that /paws/shop/index_html would show up to the user as http://test.gourmetpaws.com/catalogue/index_html The configuration I have been using to do this is: <VirtualHost test.gourmetpaws.com> SSLDisable ServerName test.gourmetpaws.com ServerAdmin root(a)gourmetpaws.com DocumentRoot /home/paws/public_html ProxyPass /catalogue http://24.82.192.244:8080/paws/shop ProxyPassReverse /catalogue http://24.82.192.244:8080/paws/shop ProxyPass /misc_ http://24.82.192.244:8080/misc_ ProxyPass /p_ http://24.82.192.244:8080/p_ ProxyVia on </VirtualHost> And then I just place a SiteRoot in /paws/shop to do the Zope-side remapping of the URL. This setup does work fine, it is just that I seem to have some aggravation with the SiteRoot object sometimes and would like to avoid it. Seeing how nicely I could do direct VirtualHost->Zope mapping with the VHM I was hoping that I'd be able to do something similar. WebDAV filesystem access

Hello, I noticed that when you're going to Zope via WebDAV, the files are presented as "rendered", i.e., as they would appear via HTTP. DTML tags are interpreted, for example. What am I missing? This seems pretty worthless. How can you maintain a web site with a WebDAV filesystem, if you can't edit the 'source' DTML pages? Thanks, Derek

Newbie - News headlines on home page

Hi all Zope 2.4.3 CMF I am trying to get a listing of the news headlines to appear on the homepage (similar to Zope.org) I have managed to get the listing to appear and be hypertext linked but when I click on the link I get an 'Unauthorised' error. This is even when I am logged in as the SuperUser. This is how I get the headlines to display <table> <td> <tr> <dtml-with "Applications.news"> <td valign="center" align=left width="75%"><h2><dtml-var title_or_id></h2></td> <dtml-var contents> </dtml-with> </tr> </td> </table> I've checked the security settings for everything and there does not seem to be a problem and I can go to the news page and there are no problems.
