RE: [Zope] enhanced Virtual Host Monster question.

That is sort've what I wanted, yeah. Though I thought the VirtualHostMonster would take over from there, see that it was coming from test.gourmetpaws.com and then 'map' it to the appropriate subdirectory in Zope. (I probably didn't mention that bit before, sorry!) I have the VHM setup for test.gourmetpaws.com and then mapped to the appropriate subdirectory, but regardless of anything of changes I make, it seems like "ignores" the VHM. Either that or I misunderstand the _vh_catalogue portion, which I assumed kept the URL reading test.gourmetpaws.com/catalogue and appending the Zope-specific stuff to the end. Time Zone question
by Graham King 18 Dec '01

18 Dec '01

maybe dumb question? How do I get zope to operate with local time zone? I see at start up I get two time zones, GMT and local, as follows: 2001-12-18T03:29:54 INFO(0) ZServer HTTP server started at Tue Dec 18 14:29:54 2001 When adding anything, "Last modified" records in GMT. This is confusing our developers, and me, since everything seems to be done at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night. PS. I've tried setting TZ in the startup script. cheers Graham

Hmmm... I tried to apply the changes to my httpd.conf as suggested, but things don't seem to quite work out. With the new VirtualHost section in place: <VirtualHost test.gourmetpaws.com> SSLDisable ServerName test.gourmetpaws.com ServerAdmin root(a)gourmetpaws.com DocumentRoot /home/paws/public_html ProxyPass /catalogue http://24.82.192.244:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/test.gourmetpaws.com:80/Virtu alHostRoot/_vh_catalogue ProxyPassReverse /catalogue http://24.82.192.244:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/test.gourmetpaws.com:80/Virtu alHostRoot/_vh_catalogue ProxyPass /misc_ http://24.82.192.244:8080/misc_ ProxyPass /p_ http://24.82.192.244:8080/p_ ProxyVia on </VirtualHost> Whenever I traverse to test.gourmetpaws.com/catalogue it now just takes me to the root index_html of the Zope install (version 2.4.3). Right now, to get around this I've installed a SiteRoot again (with different ProxyPass rules) in the appropriate Zope folder to get things working... but if I use the SiteRoot than I can do the same thing by rewriting without the VirtualHostMonster. Am I missing an integral step or done something strange? (Not that doing something like that would be out of the question, indeed!) Re: Printable Page Question
by Juan Garcia Garcia 18 Dec '01

Hi, i have solved (more or less) this problem a few weeks ago. Due to the content of the page is dynamic, what i do is to put a link that calls again the page with the same parameters as the first time, and another more to not show the navigations. To get the parameters there are two ways: if they appear in the URL, you can catch them with the QUERY_STRING object. if they don't appear in the URL (cookies, REQUEST.set, ...), you must iterate over the REQUEST object to get them. Bye. Juan >Hi, >How to get content of the page you are on (DTML >Document)? >I want to make a printer friendly page without >navigations and images. NULL in datefields in DB and Zope
by e.frerich＠nord-com.net 18 Dec '01

18 Dec '01

Hi Florent, I changed everything into normal text: If there are no values in a column with dates in my database (mySQL) the database returns "0000-00-00". ZOPE says: "Error Type: ValueError Error Value: Invalid value, 0000-00-00, for Faelligkeit in record 2" The exception is raised in: ...\lib\python\Shared\DC\ZRDB\RDB.py, line 272 How can I get the records with NULL-values in datefields with a ZSQL-Method? Regards, Egon <nofill>

Matt, check out the MySQL User Folder product at: http://www.zope.org/Members/vladap/mysqlUserFolder the README is a good overview of the product. alternatively, have a look at: How To: Use GenericUserFolder with an SQL Database: http://www.zope.org/Members/hippy/GUF_SQL_crypt_1_3 HTH, Garry > On 18 Dec 2001, at 12:25, matt inauen wrote: > > From: matt inauen <matt_zope(a)yahoo.com> > To: <Zope(a)zope.org> > Subject: [Zope] Managing users in external db > Date sent: Tue, 18 Dec 2001 12:25:32 +0100 > > > > Diese Nachricht ist im MIME-Format. Ms Access database and Zope
by Gregorio Hernández Piris 18 Dec '01

18 Dec '01

We have built a database in Ms Access, and now, we intend to access it using the web (Zope). The problem is that our zope istallation is in a Linux machine, and therefore (I think) we can't use ODBC connectivity as the database is in Access, in a windows machine, and zope in a linux machine. Any idea on how to connect that database to the web? Thanks, Gregorio.
